Lovely place. A truly remarkable escape, even for a night away from Santa Monica like we did. I was not impressed with the billing department though. I booked on Hotels.com and pre-paid for the room. The hotel charged me their full rate, so I was double-charged. I didn't realize the mistake until weeks later when I double-checked my credit card bill. […] I left a detailed message for the accounting dept. at the Langham Huntington. They didn't return my call, so a week later I called them to check the billing situation. The lady saw that it was marked "third-party" charge right away. It was that obvious to here when she saw the bill, so it didn't make sense why they would double charge. Anyway, she did fix it in the end without any hassle. Overall, it's a nice place for big events, but I wouldn't pick it as my first spot for an "intimate" getaway. "A little over rated. But nice."
Service was no better then a comfort inn or Hampton. Room phone didn't work, fire alarm went off in hotel no one came down the hall or could phone my room. They asked what newspaper I would like in the morning and I had to call several times from mt cell phone and it finally showed up just before check out. ( 12:00 pm)Genuine Hotels.com guest review

The hotel was very good and clean. I found the staff indifferent and a bit unfriendly While this felt like a Ritz, only the car hops seemed trained by RitzGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Almost a good hotel"
The hotel is very well situated. Very nice common areas, gardens and swimming, but the room could be better. It seems like the room areas and the rooms themselves need a major updating. The hotel is too expensive for what it offers.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Dog friendly..sort of"
Had fans to dry rooms going till 9:3, then again at 7:30am. Then started mowing the lawn at 8am, grass on our patio difficult to have a quiet breakfast outside. On a Saturday!! They should have waited till check out at noon and 3pm check in. The grounds were great and wedding didn't start till 5. Why 8am? Very disappointing for a 5 start hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Beautiful hotel - not so much with service"
Hotel grounds are gorgeous, but this is not the hotel you want if you are looking for quiet and romance. Pool area was consistently crowded with many children and there were always weddings going on. This was ok with us, but the noise in the hallways as well as the horrible service - not so much. We had room service breakfast every morning of our stay. […] It took over an hour to get to the room and was inconsistant with the amounts and type (we ordered the same thing twice). We also called to get the room service table removed but when we returned to our room at 6 hours later (at 5pm) it was still there. Not only that, but the room had not been made up. We had to ask housekeeping for clean towels etc. Not what you expect from a hotel of this caliber. While the location is great, I will stay somewhere else next time. "A weekend getaway"
The hotel is magnificent, public rooms are very gracious and inviting. We got to the hote at 4:30 and our room was not ready, although check in time was 3:00. It took a great deal of "fussing" to get a room without waiting. We found the room rates very acceptable, however the add on costs, i.e. the resturants ($5 for a cup of coffee), parking ($25 with […] not other options available), etc. made the weekend pricey. The Easter Brunch at $95/person was significantly overpriced and overrated. However, the taproom was delightful and the San Marino Mule, (a ginger martini), was the best martini I have ever had. It was a fun adventure for one weekend, however if we go back that way I will opt to stay elsewhere and just go to the Langham for a late evening San Marino Mule. "Not for business or true 5-Star quality."
This hotel is a historic property which means that you can expect effort to upgrade but still faced older bathroom, 10 year old TV, and significant sound issues at night as staff moved about the property. Fitness center is small, about 1500 sf at best. Desk staff can be abrupt.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Langham review"
This was our second stay at the hotel this year and we were anxious to return. However, the checkin did not go well. After the valet wisked our car away I realized I had left my purse in the car. I immediately told the clerk at the reception desk who told me to tell the valet, which I did, who told me to tell the clerk. He had a problem understanding […] but after some explaining he said he would have it sent to the room. He didn't. Forty five minutes later we had to back down to the desk and nothing had been done. I was concerned about the purse as I had a newly replaced Iphone in it and a smart key. The car could not be locked with my purse in the car. Except for the wonderful service we received the lounge where we go for drinks and bar food the service in the hotel was not what we expected or had had before. "won't be returning"
We were very satisfied with the hotel staff. What was frustrating was the pool was closed one of the days while there and we were unable to use the area. Of course it was the only day of our trip the weather was nice enough to be at the pool. It was closed due to the filming a movie. The other thing that was frustrating was that the movie had dogs in […] it and the barking at 5 am right under our window was obnoxious. The price of the room was over priced for the disruptions we experienced. The last complaint I have is the charge to valet park your vehicle was listed at a certain price per night for hotel guests and another price for day use or visitors. We were charged the more expensive rate. We have no desire to return. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Langham Huntington Hotel in Pasadena, CA"
We stayed at this hotel because we were attending a wedding in the area and the wedding party was staying at this hotel. When we arrived to our room, our remote control did not work in room. We called the front desk and they informed us that they were going to send someone to fix the problem. No one ever came to fix our problem. The hotel only has valet […] parking. When we came back from wedding in the early morning, the valet attendant was not there, we waited about 15-20minutes so they can park our car. Since no one was there, we had to park our own car. Our experience here made us not want to come back to this hotel. It is expensive and not worth it if they give you bad service. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"too bad"
Disappointed in that this used to be one of the finest hotels. Now the towels were threadbare and the service very slow--our room was not made up until after 2PM and that only after I called for service. The food at the Terrace was mediocre and over priced. Sorry, We'll not be going back.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not a 5-star hotel but nice enough"
This hotel was rated as a 5 star and our expectations were that it would have all the attention to service and detail of a 5 star. Unfortunately, the rooms just were not up to par. The furniture was old and faded. The beds were disshevelled with ill fitting linens and covers. Even the tv was a much older model. Certainly carpets, baseboards and much […] of the wall coverings needed some sprucing. And there wasn't any turndown service. However, the room was quite large and it was clean. The hotel itself was very well maintained and there was a good fitness facility. We spent much of our time at the pool which was a good size and had poolside service for drinks. The only unfortunate part of the pool was the deck chairs. Aluminum and plastic weave. Very uncomfortable for any length of time but the weather was so nice that it didn't seem to matter. Hotel staff was friendly and courteous. Valet service was incredibly efficient considering the number of events at the hotel that weekend. The lounges and restaurants were really very lovely. I would recommend the hotel if you get a good rate. It's peaceful and the gardens are beautiful. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
During our 6 nights stay at the Langham Huntington in Pasadena, we were very satisfy with the garden view and interior atmosphere of the hotel. Meanwhile, we feel disappointed with room cleaning service. First day when we checked in, we found the duvet cover has two dirty spots that kinds like bloody marks which was disgusting. Under toilet seat was […] dirty. The shower light was warn out. And the shower fan never works during our stay. After taking shower, the whole room were full of vapor. We have to open all windows to breath. We called room service and they only changed the bulb but did not repair the fan. They never give us explain about what was going on. "Five Star?"
A nice hotel in a great location, but not a five star. Perhaps the main building is nicer, but in the adjacent building where we stayed, one could hear people walking around upstairs and toilets flushing all night (think Motel 6). And the room service cart that stayed in the hall most of the day didn't do much to augment the ambience.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Don't be fooled by the pictures"
The pictures fooled me into thinking I would get a nice large beautiful room with elegant furniture and wonderful ambiance.....don't get suckered like I did. The room was small with old furniture and a crappy bathroom that didn't work properly. I had a room with two double beds which were lumpy and very uncomfortable. Stayed 5 nights and my back pain […] got worse each following night. The hotel though is beautiful and the grounds spacious and picturesque. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Rooms Are Terrible"
Terrible terrible rooms. I only paid attention to the good reviews and not the bad because I fell in love with the pictures of the hotel. Yes, the hotel is lovely but the rooms are terrible terrible terrible. Bathroom sink does not drain, room smells stuffy. Slept in a room with 2 double beds, avoid at all costs! Plus do not, and I repeat, do not order […] room service unless you want to pay double for the dish. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Very nice surrunding environment. But the room face carpark and gabbish station, in the morning 7:00am, the gabbish truck come and you can't sleep any more. Air conditioning has big noise, 70's bathroom, 80's TV, wifi not work. Good place for recall the 70's, 80's life. But not a good place as a bussiness hotel.
