We stayed here for a show at the Calvin Theatre. Check In was easy and the location was great. We could walk to the show. The room was very clean. Only... problem was the indoor pool. The A/C was broken and they still had the pool heated. On this 100+ degree day we didn't want to swim in tepid water in a pool area that more resembled a sauna. Very steamy! Unfortunately, this is one of only two hotels in the area where the downtown area is walkable....This is overpriced, but the other hotel was more overpriced...THIS TOWN NEEDS MORE HOTELS NEAR TOWN...have stayed here before and this time our stay was just ok..our fridge was broke and it seems like the general maintenence of the place could be better. Good location. The differences in rooms was vast. Some were done over and looked pretty good. It appeared that the main hotel was redone but only part of the "motel-like" area was and the rooms that were not done over were not great. Not worth the money that the room cost. Small pool but adequate if no one else was there. Would not stay there again […] unless I called the reservation line and was assured of a room in the taller hotel area that was renovated. Read more
