The 106 air-conditioned guestrooms at Extended Stay America-San Diego-Carlsbad Village by the Sea include coffee/tea makers and irons/ironing boards. Guests can use the in-room complimentary wireless high-speed Internet access. 32-inch flat-screen televisions are equipped with premium cable channels and free movie channels. All accommodations provide desks and phones with voice mail; free local calls are offered (restrictions may apply). All units have kitchens with stovetops, full-sized refrigerators/freezers, microwaves, and cookware/dishes/utensils. Additional amenities include windows that open and clock radios. In addition, housekeeping is offered weekly and amenities available on request include hair dryers.
An optional Daily Refresh housekeeping service is available for nightly guests (1-6 nights). This service includes replacing soiled towels, emptying trash, replenishing soap and toilet paper if needed, and making bed with existing linens.
A weekly full housekeeping service is provided for extended-stay guests (7+ nights). This service includes dusting, vacuuming, changing linens and towels, emptying trash, cleaning bathroom and kitchen (dishes are not washed), and replenishing soap and toilet paper if needed.
Surcharges apply for both services.

Nearby, the Museum of Making Music highlights American composition and instruments. Directly north, Oceanside is midpoint between Los Angeles and San Diego. This beach town is known for its 1,954-foot pier, the longest wooden pier in the West Coast. Legoland theme park is nearby.

"Not REALLY a hotel"
Just OK. This hotel has NO HOUSEKEEPING unless you stay 7 days or more (or pay extra everyday). That means that after 4 days with 3 of us there was a pile of used towels in the bathroom and overflowing trash. Plus, the usual amenities had to be hunted down (hair dryer, extra towels) AND the front desk is closed overnight so...you're on your own. Ummmmm....not […] again, not for us. "Sign says renovating in 11/2011"
The hotel in its current state is uncomfortable, the room had a strong stale smell when we went in (seemed to clear up once the air conditioner was running). Bed linens had tape with "F" 's all over them. The air conditioner was very noisy when it kicked on. "Reasonable Hotel"
