In town for the KSU WVU football game. Was fairly close to downtown, just a $10 cab. Problem was getting a cab to show up in a decent amount of time. Room seemed fairly clean but the bathroom door was falling apart and it had quite obviously been a smoking room at some point in time. "Condition satisfactory"
We have stayed at this location several times 10 years ago when our older son went to college. We booked here recently while on a trip to visit the college with our younger son. The overall condition of the hotel was satisfactory but our particular room was less. We had a "Non-Smoling" room that smelled of a room that perhaps was a smoking room at one […] time. The smell was awful! It was apparent that the bathroom vanity had been upgraded to a granite counter (which was very nice) because the backsplash area from the old counter was still visible on the wall under the mirror. This hotel allows pets, and that was evident in our room. The room stank pretty bad, and there was dog food on the floor. The fridge didn't work, either. On the other hand, the windows do open, so we slept with the window open and it wasn't too bad. "Unfortunate experience"
Yelling screaming fight in parking lot between a man and a woman - migrated inside to room above me. Stomping, threats, and foul language - Police had to be called around midnight.
