I normally stay at the Marriot Marque as I travel to San Francisco Monthly. Your Hotel is wonderful. A few recommendations would be to figure out the incoming traffic as the 3 days that I returned we could not get off the main street and had to wait a few minutes for the Valet to get the cars out of the way. Based on having the same issue 3 days in […] a row. I would tell you that you are under staffed at peak times. On another note I had asked the Conceige if he had a small bottle of water so I could take some medication. He pointed tot he closed gift shop and said that they sell water in the gift shop. "Middle of San Francisco"
I stayed for two nights and I was very satisfied with the room, especially the view. I stayed on the 21st floor and you can pretty much see one half of San Francisco. The beds were very comfortable for my tastes, I like firm beds. My parents stayed with me and they easily had access to facilities they needed. They have great staff, and are very attentive […] to your needs. Everything is relatively close whether you walk or take public transportation. All rooms are non-smoking, actually smoking is really discouraged. So much so, that they have an outdoor terrace on the 6th floor that you can smoke but only one cigarette butt caddy. "Great way to celebrate our anniversary!"
Wonderfully located in downtown San Francisco for sightseeing by foot, trolley or cable. Concierge very well informed about events/showings/restaurants. Breakfast buffet was great with large variety of fresh, tasty choices. Bedding very comfortable. Room was SPECTACULAR! "Thought this hotel was classy but I was wrong"
The hotel was nice inside when you walk in and the beds in the room were very comfortable. I noticed that it gets really hot inside the hotel during the morning/afternoon even when we had the air conditioner blasting. The service at this hotel was just horrible though. We booked the room here since it was close to the club we were at and the employees […] at the Intercontenential were just giving us such a hard time due to the fact that they though we were young. The hotel security said that people were complaining about our room slamming doors when we never left the room when we came back from the club. Then they had the nerve to say we don't even have a room at the hotel when they were the ones that checked us in and we had confirmation of us having room. I think they should have better customer service and should NOT jude people just because they thing we look young. We're all adults here and they should of acted like adults. Really needed a break and this hotel was just fab. We booked it because of the indoor pool to wear the kids out in the eve, it was a little cold but had a very friendly atmosphere. Stayed there on a Saturday night with my wife so we could party in the city. "Newer than most in the city..."
As one of the newer hotels in San Francisco, the Intercontinental offers a reliably comfortable stay in the city that's otherwise expected in wealthier suburbs or gentrified city outskirts. The lack of architectural charm or a scenic, active neighborhood might be detractors for some. But for Moscone-based conferences or business along Market Street […] and SOMA, it's convenient, clean, and very well maintained; not to mention the large rooms and spectacular city or bay views from the mid- to high floors, even from some bathrooms. The cost varies from reasonably good to jaw-droppingly outrageous depending on events in the city and expected occupancy rates. Over ten or more different stays since 2009, I've paid between $150 to $450 for the same room type. "Big shopping mall right behind the car park"

"Nice hotel, bad service"
The hotel was nice, except that they charge for everything! Wi-Fi fee, movie fee, parking fee, etc. It gets annoying. Also when I stayed there, the hotel had a fight breakout in the ballroom from a high school event. From my room I saw about 5 cop cars come to the hotel. My daughter was sick and I had to go get medicine, I tried calling the reception […] desk for 30 minutes to make sure it was safe to come down until I finally got a response. We were told to stay in the room since the hotel was on lockdown. When I explained my disappointment of that night to the staff upon checkout they just said 'sorry' and shrugged it off. "False Advertising"
Reserved room (king size bed, smoking) on Christmas Eve. 1. Drove to San Francisco and was stunned to find no self-parking or parking area for guests -- Valet Only @ $59 per night!! OUTRAGEOUS!! Not only was that price outrageous, but having to tip the driver each time you wanted something from the car or to move it was ridiculous! 2.
