The hotel was really nice with a very kind staff. The neighborhood was super sketchy, full of homeless people. There was a hobo in the parking lot when we came back one night asking for money. It isn't the best neighborhood but it is pretty close to the nicer parts of the city. We were able to avoid walking around the neighborhood thanks to the free […] shuttles that the hotel provides to union square and fisherman's wharf. We took a cab if we needed to get around outside of the shuttle times. There's also free breakfast 7-10AM with a very basic menu. Overall, a good stay for a good price. Read more

Missed one morning call（phone did not ring at all). Suggestions to local attractions were only ok (unable to provide suggestions to cigar bars around but I managed to google it myself). Internet connections always drop and need log in every now and then.

Rooms are well appointed and reasonably sized for major city hotel. Staff extremely cordial and helpful. Breakfast charge for continental buffet or full American buffet was a little high, but the half price drinks and appetizers at happy hour more than made up for the breakfast prices. Neighborhood is very quiet and safe. Good selection of Asian restaurants […] within one block and Western restaurants two or three blocks walk. Only drawback is that the location is not convenient to main line public transport; but, most tourists will take taxis anyway. Read more

Stayed for three nights, beside the rough neighborgs "Urban campers" or homeless the location was good. We never got any trouble even thougt that our guide told us that "to Tendeloin you come and go with taxi". The breakfast was very good for the price of staying here and no other complaints.

its more motel status than hotel..rooms had a crappy paint job u can tell they did the bare min on updates and repairs. hotel neighborhood was a little scary. but if ur there to see the city u prob wont spend much time there! neighborhood at night is loud with mentally ill and drug fights. the hotel is close to many places i even walked from the hotel […] to city hall in five min. nice beds good theme but needs to be fixed up a bit better it was almost like ppl did the repairs in a hurry. not much time was taken. dont both asking the front for places to eat they couldnt recommend good places to eat. i asked for good bars to go to i was told to google it or look at the maps..rooms r not so sound proof i could hear ppl in the hallway while i was sleeping. Very nice rooms and staff. Great continental breakfast. Hotels.com did a terrible job explaining charges and reservation was not there when I arrived. The hotel sorted it out and the rest of the trip was terrific.

The hotel is clean, modern, and efficient. It's like a really nice hotel without all the ancillary stuff like a spa, room service, etc. It has very nice, new, clean and modern rooms with comfortable beds and flat screen tv's. If you want to get a good night's sleep in a clean, modern room for very little money, this is it. You will sacrifice room service […] and being waited on, and the neighborhood is the Tenderloin, aka a little sketchy, but all in all this place was great. Our hotel room was great for the price. It was located in a not-so-pleasent area, "the tenderloin" of San Fran. At night, it's not the best place to be walking around. The hotel offered a shuttle ever couple of hours to Union Square and Fisherman's Warf which was nice. You couldn't access the elevator without a hotel room key which was nice at night. […] Hotel room was a lot smaller than expected, no A/C in rooms, which was ok because it wasn't hot. They offered a decent breakfast on the top level of the hotel. They offered pastries, cereal, fruit and ready to make waffles. The Cova Hotel was nice and clean. The staff was excellent and very helpful with any questions we had(Especially Lorraine at the front desk). The complimentary breakfast was not bad, but could have included pastries and a little more variety. The main negative about the hotel is the surrounding area, which I had read about on other reviews. Its located […] in the older part of the city known as "The Tenderloin". I never felt like my life was in danger, but we couldn't just walk out of the hotel at any time of the day. They do have a comp shuttle, so it wasn't too bad. The room was very nice, breakfast was great and hotel is 5 min walk from Union Square. At night time the neighborhood is a bit uncomfortable to walk in.. so take a cab back to the hotel if nighttime.

Rooms are clean and spacious but you can hear your neighbour talk. Breakfast buffet style is ok but nothing special - coffee to avoid. Location near 2 homeless shelthers is not the best although fairly central - staff tell you which streets to avoid on their maps . We had a reduced price so it was a ok choice but at full price not a good deal.

El hotel tiene buen servicio y no se encuentra alejado de Unión Square. Aunque la zona lindante no es muy agradable de noche. Un punto a favor, tiene un shutle que te aferra gratis a Unión Square y al Pier 39.

Hotellet var billigt, hade helt okej frukost och var rent och prydligt. Rummen var stora. Däremot låg det i riktigt stökiga kvarter. Dessutom försökte personalen få oss att betala en avgift för att vi rökt på rummet, vilket vi inte hade. Vilket resulterade i trettio minuters diskussion innan vi kunde checka ut. Mycket bra sängar. Saknade kylskåp på rummet och ägg å bacon på frukosten. För mycket kondition och för lite styrka i gymmet dock glad att det fanns ett gym. Bra parkeringsservice all service var bra.

Hotellet är mycket prisvärt, men det ligger nära kvarter med uteliggare,knarkhandel och prostitution. Men hotellet har en skyttel som lämnar och hämtar gratis på de vanligaste turistställena. För övrigt är taxi billigt. Hanterar man det rätt så fungerar det bra.

Warten beim Check-In für 20 Minuten. Die Receptionistin entschuldigte sich, dass um 14:30 ein Schichtwechsel stattfände. In Wirklichkeit war der Komputer ausgestiegen! Eine ehrlich Antwort hätte mehr Sinn gemacht. Aus irgend einem Grund wurde ich ins Zimmer 209 umgbucht. Das ZImmer war feucht und kalt, es stank und der Dehumidifier half auch nicht. […] Am nächsten Tag stellte ich beim Verlassen meines Zimmers ich fest, dass da Zimmer 208 neben mir dieser Feuchtigkeit renoviert wurde. Ich sprach das Thema an bei der neuen Receptionistin an, sie verhielt sich sehr gleichgültig. Als ich den Hotelmanager verlangte, schickte dieser die Verkaufsmanagerin, welche sich etwas dumm anstellte und in keiner Weise entgegenkam. Das Hotel befindet sich an der Ellis Street in der Nähe von Obdachlosen Siedlungen und die Umgebung in Richtung Union Square ist etwas unangenehm. Read more

Het is een erg net, nieuw hotel. Alles ziet er nieuw, modern en luxieus uit. Het enige nadeel is dat in de buurt veel zwervers rondhangen. San Francisco heeft de meeste daklozen van de VS wat betekent dat je een blok van market street komt, ze overal te vinden zijn. We zijn er elke avond en ochtend langsgelopen, maar ze deden verder niets. Riepen ons […] ook niet na ofzo. Het is alleen even wennen.
