We chose this hotel bc it was affordable. 80/night. At that rate we expected something: this place was a glorified motel... There were 3 locks on the bedroom door-and although it seemed that the owner tried to spruce it up-it still fell short. I expected more for the $$ we paid. For only a few dollars more, you can do much better on the wharf. This place is far from most attractions. It is clear they are trying to upgrade the decor, newer carpet and flat screen tv's. Unfortunetly the bathrooms are in dire need of attention. The vanity had missing tiles in the countertop, the shower was clean […] but so old it looked dirty. The bedding was dingy at best and the mattresses uneven and needing replacing. The hotel did not receive my room request wanting a quiet room. When we checked in, there was no quiet rooms available so we were on 2nd fl and we could hear foot steps from upstairs at MN and anytime people were walking. Next day, we were able to switch to 3rd fl which was better. But it was not convienient to switch since office staff did not change […] in the computer and it looks like we were in the same room when we came back from sightseeing during the day. The manager was supposed to be in AM, but we never saw him 2 mornings when we were trying to talk to him. It was nice to have microwave, fridge and coffee maker in the room. I chose this hotel based on the price and reviews. The hotel is in a quite neighborhood. If you have a car Broadway and Van Ness are good streets that are main crossroads. We used the cable car and city bus lines and there are several routes that have stops within 2 or 3 blocks. Your kind of in the middle distance from Fishermans warf, union square, […] golden gate bridge, and golden gate park. They said there was free WiFi which is true, but it's a bit slow, it was OK to email, but slow for youtube. I think it used to be called Broadway Manor because they still had a few signs in the parking lot w/ the name and my AAA guide book referred to it as such. If you want a place close to the sights in San Francisco then this place is great, if you are looking for comfort...then not so much. The rooms were remodeled which was nice, but our room smelled […] a bit. I think it was from the air conditioner. We stayed on the 3rd floor which was fine for the night, in the morning however around 630-700 you can start to hear the traffic. Van ness and Broadway are 2 very busy, main roads in SF. Parking is free but limited and the spots take some manuevering to get into. If you are looking for just a 1 night stay while in SF close to the sights, then this place will meet your needs. Stayed 2 nights at the Inn on Broadway in San Francisco and was very pleased. I was looking for a hotel at a good price that included parking, since parking can be upwards of $25 a night in San Francisco. Came across this hotel online and I was a little nervous about booking it because I have never heard of it before and the price in comparison to other […] hotels was very low. I took my chances and booked it and was pleasantly surprised! The hotel is very clean and the rooms are a comfortable good size. There was ample parking and it was included in the price per night, which was about 1/2 of the going rate in the surrounding the area. The area is safe and close to many of the local attractions and the cable car route, etc. The only negative thing I have to say about the hotel is you can hear foot traffic outside of your room and you can hear neighboring room doors open and close, but other than that, the beds were clean and comfortable, the restrooms were clean and the decor was nice and contemporary.
