I love the place very much. very convenient. it's in the middle of everything. not far to walk, except those hills themselves, to everywhere. rooms are always clean and most updated. we will definitely stay there again if going back that way.

Why say that you have breakfast in the morning and have instant coffee. It would be better not to have. Also they say they have HBO it only comes on at weird times and they can't tell you when. Just don't have it. Parking is tight but doable. Have stayed three times.

Really helpful staff, lots of helpful local knowledge. Great location away from tourist sites but near enough to everything. Shame about breakfast, good if your diet is only doughnuts and pastries. Overall really good 3 nights. Highly recommended.

Room is clean. it has parking space on the 1st floor but it's very narrow. if you drive suv, it's kind of hard to get in. parking is the reason i stay in this hotel. Breakfast is very minimal. location is really great, near all of major attraction. it's kind of pricy but hey...it's SF.

Wonderful little motor inn. Room was old but well cared for. We walked just 2 1/2 blocks to cable car to fisherman's warf. Loved our stay. I was not sure about what I would find, but was pleasantly surprised. We stayed in 6 different hotels on our trip. This was my favorite. We drive a Fusion and parking was tight but free and off the street.

Hotel was very clean and somewhat close to sites. We had a rental car which helped. Spaces for cars were small. Staff was helpful and friendly. Room was very clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast was ok, not the greatest. Overall a good hotel for a short stay in San Francisco.

I was a bit uncertain when I booked the hotel online but trusted the reviews of others to guide my decision. I was pleasantly surprised. While you could almost miss the entrance (which gives a certain added privacy), once you see the sign you felt like this could be a delightful place. The hostess was pleasant and quickly registered us and we were given […] a room on the 3rd floor which had a partial view of the Golden Gate bridge and the surrounding view of buildings tucked into the San Francisco hillside. It was not bad. The parking for which we are grateful required some skill in staying between the lines and avoiding some of the posts but it was not an issue for us. The room was clean and we had 2 queens and a sofa that may have been a sofa bed but we did not need it. There was a microwave which came in handy and a refrigerator. There was an extra sink in the kitchenette area which also came in handy ( don't know if other rooms are like this) A small dining table with 2 cloth covered chairs were provided. The chairs were the only thing i had an issue with. They could do with some cleaning and I would recommend non-cloth hand rests. The bathroom door did not lock but that was not a problem for us and we forgot to let the hostess know about it (maybe i will call them). We felt safe and secure. We did not notice any unusual activity. The continental breakfast is very basic and is meant to grab and take back to your room since there is no space to eat in the lobby. There are a variety of restaurants all within walking distance and a CVS pharmacy about a minute away. We ate at the Tai Chi restaurant which is right around the corner on Polk and Broadway and enjoyed our meal at this very busy place with decent prices. All tourist areas are close at hand so the location was convenient. Will definitely stay there again. Read more

Our second stay at this hotel. Great neighborhood with many restaurants and services just around the corner. Quiet neighborhood to sleep in after a busy day. Just around the corner bagels for breakfast, pizza for a quick lunch, for the beef eaters, a gourmet steak house with slabs of beef on display just up the block for dinner. .Peet's and Starbucks […] both just around the corner plus a short walk to bus to Union Square or cable car to the Embarcadero. Change in management since prior visit. The nice elderly couple has retired or moved on but the service was just as good. No complaints when we checked out an hour later than the 11 am time and very accommodating for an earlier than scheduled check in. Easy to get to just one block off Hwy 101 north to the Golden Gate. Advantage with this hotel is only location - Room is not clean (Dirty is a better word to use) - Microwave and Refrigerator in the Restroom (so even if you want to you cannot use them ... ???) - Parking is cramped ...you've to close all side view mirrors and sometimes even you don't have parking ...good luck with that ... - If you're driving by car […] ... Can't beat the central location and free on site parking. Many hotels say they have parking for a fee and then the parking is off site! Convenient restaurants, CVS pharmacy and more. We stayed at another hotel a few blocks away, so we knew the location would be fantastic...seems like majority of hotels in SF are in not so great areas, so this hotel is a gem. We read the reviews, and it seems like the hotel made the effort to improve upon those complaints. Our room was larger then we were expecting..the other hotel we stayed in before […] was much smaller. Parking spaces are small, but it's the standard for SF...you're in a city, so just be happy they have free parking. Room was very spacious. Two tv's was handy with 3 kids. Location was excellent, so close to restaurants and a great boutique type deli next door. No need to drive anywhere as the hotel is easy walking distance to the wharf and downtown shopping. Also a quick walk to the cable cars.

This was a budget holiday for my family so I was not looking for marble floors. Nob hill motor inn is older but kept very clean. The staff were very helpful and were able to assist with all our needs. With basic breakfast included and parking this hotel met and exceeded our expectations for a 2 star accommodation. we waren heel blij met dit hotel, de mensen helpen je met allerlei vragen op een manier waardoor je je op je gemak voelt. het parkeren op eigen terrein is super. de kamer is netjes, niet superluxe maar alles is er. er is geen lawaai-overlast. de buurt is veilig en je zit echt overal dichtbij.
