The staff at the hotels was very helpful, informative, and accommodating. The hotel was located in the financial district. Travelled with children. Very... good food choices within walking distance. Located right on the cable-car line on California Street, the Omni San Francisco stands two blocks from Chinatown and four blocks from Union Square. North Beach, the city's Ferry Building and the Embarcadero shopping district are within five blocks of this hotel, while the Moscone Convention Center is eight blocks away.

Hotel Features
Bob's Steak and Chop House serves steaks and fresh seafood throughout the day in a casual dining atmosphere overlooking Montgomery Street. Leather upholstery and plasma televisions complement the adjoining lounge that serves cocktails and offers the restaurant's menu. Wireless Internet access is provided in the hotel's public areas. The 1,500-square-foot health club contains cardiovascular equipment with personalized LCD screens, and yoga mats.

Bob's Steak and Chop House - Ground-floor steakhouse with white tablecloths, polished wood paneling, and a wall of windows along Montgomery Street. Several small alcoves for more private dining. Prime aged beef, fresh seafood, chops, salads, and rich desserts. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner served.
Bob's Bar - Corner bar with comfortable leather chairs and two plasma TVs. Cocktails, beer, wine, afternoon tea, and cappuccino. Lunch and dinner served from the steakhouse menu. Open from late morning to late evening.

Recreation

The Omni's 1,500-square-foot fitness room provides free weights, cardio and strength-training equipment, yoga mats, a plasma TV, and individual screens for treadmills. Get Fit Kits for use in guestrooms are available at the front desk, and include a floor mat, two dumbbells, and elastic bands.

We stayed at the Omni in late May/early June, we had two double bed rooms for the weekend. The quality of our stay exceeded expectations. Rates were comparable to other hotels in the area but the room quality and service were superior. From check-in, with a friendly welcome at the door and an excellent team at the desk, and throughout our stay the staff […] was extremely courteous and accomodating. We really appreciated the location of the hotel. It was a cable car ride away from San Francisco's best times, but it was also removed just enough from some of the busier and more congested areas of the city. In one short walk, we walked through Chinatown, visited The Beat Museum, had lunch in North Beach (Little Italy), then jumped the F train to Fisherman's Wharf. Located at the bottom of Nob Hill, photo opportunities are endless. We value reader reviews for information and highly recommend this hotel for its quality and location. We rated room maintenance a four, only because the city cut the water supply one night, but the hotel compensated all guests with free breakfast the following morning. Firstly the good - great location. Great service. As a guest you have to sign up for their club membership to reap the benefits of morning coffee to your door and free internet. Its a small pain but ultimately worth it and to get coffee dropped to your door is lovely. The bad - the scrounging for money. In the bathroom they leave you 2 bottles of water […] but they cost 7 dollars 50 to drink. They should be in the minibar not the bathroom. They are clearly marked so we didnt get caught out but its stingy to do that. Also we got dinged on the bill because one receptionist told us we can have 2 drinks per guest in the morning delivered to the room so we had 2 each. TUrns out it was only 1 when the bill came. not a big deal but for such an expensive hotel to be trying to bleed every dollar, its a little cheeky.Overall though I loved the place and would definitely come back. Great hotel. Located near China Town and Union Square; on a cable car line. Extremely nice staff. Very accommodating, helpful and pleasant. Kids got cookies and milk in the room each night. Maids wrote little notes welcoming you back to your room in the evening. It was a very pleasant experience.

Breakfast in our room fast and very courteous and hotel clerk extremely helpful with our reservation at "Bob's" by suggesting we allow him to set up a quiet booth for dinner the evening of checkin.

The hotel was in a great location for us. Close to many cable/street cars and walking distance to the Ferry Market. The rooms were very clean and had one of the most comfortable beds i have ever slept in. The noon check out time was also a plus. I would definitley stay here again!

Stayed at Omni for Bay to Breakers. Great location in Financial District. Jog to race start. Walk to Union Square, Chinatown, North Breach. Excellent service and facilities. Very clean. Sign up for Omni Premier (free online) on arrival. Get perks like free wifi. Will stay again if in area.

Had a wonderful time staying at the Omni. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. We've stayed at other 4.5 star hotels but Omni was different and took care of the little details. Worth the money you paid for. Convenient location and in a quieter part of the city.

I always love staying at the Omni San Francisco; everyone from the bell staff, front desk staff, bartenders and housekeeping staff are friendly, efficient and attentive. I've never had a bad experience here. The rooms are upscale and clean, with lots of amenities including comfy robes. The location is great - within walking distance of Union Square […] and cable car jump-on, as well as Chinatown. And even close enough to walk to Coit Tower, Lombard Street and Fisherman's Wharf if you are into walking. And you can't beat Bob's for great steaks and drinks! Very friendly staff. Very clean hotel. $7.50 for water? In a pinch, you sorta have to... Certain things a little overpriced. Room service was prompt and food was great! The bar made great drinks and the bartenders were friendly. One of the nicer places I've stayed in sf.

I am very pleased I stayed here for my 4 nights visiting a friend in the area. It was a good location for coming in from the airport. It also was a good location for accessing the rest of the city - which I did - traveling all over San Fran in the 4 days there.
