The Best Western Tuscan Inn Fisherman's Wharf-Operated by Kimpton is located two blocks from Pier 39 in San Francisco, Calif. Positioned on the historic Cable Car Line, this hotel stands less than two blocks from Cannery Row, and six blocks from the Alcatraz Island ferry and North Beach.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful room with a separate living room at no extra cost. Comfortable beds with quality linens.. The wine tasting was fun.. Lots of people came and they were generous with the wine. My only suggestion would be to switch it up and have different wines on different nights... We were there 3 nights […] and the same wine was served each night. Noisy srtreet in the morning but ear plugs helped with that. Will definitely go back to the hotel! this spot is quite nice. We did have some noisy guests in the room next to us, but the hotel staff moved our room location and they were very accommodating. We did however have a bit of a noisy stay. Overall, it was good stay. The cleanliness left some to be desired. There were some stains in the bathroom. Location is great to all the attractions at the wharf and a few blocks to the F-train. Kudos to the hotel fro offering a wine reception and opportunity to meet others staying in the same hotel (even little pizza bites offered!). Nice welcome. Hotel is close to everything and in safe setting. Rooms are VERY cozy (ie; small) but not spending much time there, this was not an issue. Only "complaint" had to do with finding out about parking […] costs AFTER we had already checked in..no mention of cost when checking in, and none until checking out, at which time we were told it was $44. Staff was very nice. I had to get a little firm at check in because they wouln't accomidate my double bed request. The lady talked to a manager and it wasnt' a problem. Staff very friendly. Went out of their way to make hot chocoloate for my daughter. Only thing that I really didn't like about the hotel was the windows. Great location to be close to the wharf and all the small restaurants in the area. Room was a lot smaller than I hoped (2 double beds) It was very busy for Mother's Day weekend so I got a room facing the main street, so there was a lot of noise. (Glad I had earplugs) Staff was very nice. "Best Western on Fisherman's Wharf"
My friend and I stayed here for three nights when we were visiting San Francisco. This hotel is in a good location and has a reasonable price considering how expensive hotels are in this area. My only issue with this place was the smoking. When we checked in at night we were assigned to a supposedly nonsmoking room. However it was on the first floor […] and reeked of cigarrette smoke. We told the hotel clerk immediately and he switched us to another room on the same floor. At that time the room was ok but by the next morning we could smell the smoke again. So later that day we complained again and requested to be moved to another floor. One thing I will say is as annoying as it was to switch rooms two times, the hotel staff was very helpful and accomodating. By the third room switch, we were satisfied and it was a bigger room, smoke free. The hotel decors leaves much to be desired but the rooms are comfortable. The only other negative is the adjacent restaurant (cafe pescatore). We made the mistake of eating there our first night and it's weird how it's openly attached to the hotel. But other than that, it was ok. Oh and the other negative is the sky-high parking rate of $44 a night. So if you bring a car, then you should park in the lot on the next block which was $30 a night. We can't say enough about this hotel. Number one on our list would have to be the incredible staff. Everyone bent over backwards to accomodate us from tour and dinner reservations to extra wash clothes and most important the bellman who arranged all our miscellaneous transportation needs. This was a great stay for us. I had worried, due to reading the reviews of others, about the noise. Our room was blissfully quiet!! No outside noise at all (our windows faced a small courtyard) and we never heard another guest. It's two blocks down to the waterfront area and within easy walking distance to North Beach. We booked the hotel on the day we arrived due to the apartment we had previously booked being a disaster!! The booking clerk helped find a room for three nights and we decided to stay for another seven nights.
