"ok"
It is a nice hotel. Do recommend. Just watch the fridge sensors....when and if you take things out.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
A great value. Hugely convenient location, staff was beyond exceptional and friendly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Petite Room IS petite"
When they say petite, they mean it. Size is small. But everything in it is in mint condition.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Perfect for just getting away for the night!"
Really enjoyed our stay at hotel nikko. We'd planned a night out in sf with friends and the hotel was conveniently located close to everything, shopping and restaurants. Will definitely stay again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Beatiful hotel... needs new carpet in rooms"
Beautiful hotel, fantastic location, service was top notch. Only complaint was our carpeting in the hallway on our floor and in our actual hotel room was in pretty rough shape. Otherwise everything else was beautifully updated!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel, but they Nickel and Dime you"
Nice hotel. For those not familiar with SF, this is in Union Square which is a nice shopping district right in the middle of crackheadville - just in case you don't know that. But that's fine - it's where most of the nice hotels are. The only real problem we had was that they nickel and dime you everywhere. You get a "good" rate, but then you pay $45 […] a day for parking, and $15 a day for internet (PER DEVICE!), $20 a day if you want to use the gym/spa/pool, etc. etc. etc. I was surprised they didn't include a charge for our toilet paper. So to sum up, it's a good hotel, but the rate you see is NOT the rate you'll end up paying. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great bargain"
Very nice desk staff, unexpected upgrade, and nicely appointed room. The hotel is located in/adjacent Union Square. That aspect made for rather interesting people watching. I never felt unsafe and would definitely stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
My only complaint is that our room only had a decaf coffee packet, instead of a decaf and a regular. Nice view of the city from our room though and the staff was friendly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nikko is nice"
Nice stay. No issues. Location, Location, Location. Hotel Valet parking is forty five a day with in/out priviledges, convenient if you plan on driving to places not within walking distance. Rooms a little on the small side. Overall, pretty much what we expected. Bathroom nice. Temp control in room also worked well.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A once modern marvel looking a little dated"
When this opened in the 80s it was the place to be. Now the 80s contemporary style is looking a little old. However, my room was spacious and clean. The decor was updated and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. It is also very convenient to many restaurants, shopping and the convention center. I would definitely stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Escape"
I booked the hotel for a birthday getaway for myself and my husband. We were very pleased with the hotel. The indoor pool comes at an additional cost but it was a nice amenity that most SF hotels do not offer. The staff offered an upgrade when we arrived as well as a glass of wine upon our arrival. The hotel is located on the outskirts of the Tenerloin […] District which might be uncomfortable for some people but we enjoyed the "culture" and easy access to Union Square, China Town and Market Street. "Great time"
Stayed at the hotel for the Chinese new year and this was the perfect spot. It is conveniently located within walking distance to some of downtown's best restaurants. The hotel bar was fantastic and I'm looking forward to trying the sushi restaurant on my next stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"noisy neighbors"
The hotel was great! Unfortunately we had some party people next to us that arrived at 2:30am with thumping music and being loud. We have 2 kids and it woke everyone up. After a few calls to the front desk and visits by security and eventually the SF Police Dept...they were removed. Not much sleep that night and not what you expect when staying at such […] a nice hotel. Other than the inconsiderate neighbors, the hotel was great and the pool is wonderful! "Great Nikko hotel - check hidden fees"
All in all it was a very comfortable stay with an amazing sushi chef. Domo. The only irritating thing was finding out after booking that there is a $20 fee for the pool and spa; $15.95 a day for internet...but you can get a discount of $31 for 3 days; and, $45 a day for parking, but you can come and go as many times as you want. (seems parking is a […] real issue in San Francisco; I was towed once and it cost about $300++ to retrieve car....so, just budget for the $50 a day) Also great shiatsu massage for $125 was worth every penny or yen. "Nice hotel in San Francisco"
My stay overall was very nice, however, after I checked out and returned home to New York, I discovered that the hotel charged me $6.50 for a bottle of water that I did not take from my room. I called the front desk to complain, and the person said he would reverse the charge. I wonder how many people they do this to and it's never discovered.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Nice place, comfortable, you have to watch the extras though. If you need internet access and you want to work out in the gym, its another $35 a day, parking is nearly $50.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"not bad"
everything was good except that the vinyl seat in my room was already showing a good amount of wear : /. I would have thought by that time it would have been replaced.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Basic Room great Location and amenities"
Great service, great amenities, but the room was really basic for what I paid. Was definitely hoping the room would have more character. I've seen it promoted as a great place for couples but it is most certain for business travelers. Lights were bright and didn't dim, there was no way to "set the mood" there.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Water pressure in shower is terrible. Way too lowGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This place is right next to my usual place and from time to time I have to book here$that time. The place is some what hard to get to because of one way streets. You have to circle around the block to get to the parking structure. They nail you with fees too, $45 to park, $20 for use of their gym, $15 for internet, $5 to receive and handle a package. […] The check in desk was very slow when arriving. Over all the place is nice and the restaurant on site was good. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Service was very good. Friendly and polite and they let me stay a bit later than check-out the next day. My room was lovely. The hotel is a little dated, but not shabby. Great bed. Great heater. I had a corner room with lovely windows. I love some of the features that I consider circa 1980s. Well lit makeup mirror in the hall. Magic button by the bed […] that turns off every light in the room. Only thing I wished for and didn't get was a bathrobe. The hotel is close to Union Sq and Powell St BART, and is walkable to many other interesting areas. Still plenty quiet at sleepytime. I'd absolutely stay at the Hotel Nikko again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"great central location for exploring..."
Great location, service was good, they were able to accommodate my early check in twice. On the downside the gym/pool fees were $20-25, seemed a bit steep for a workout and WiFi wasn't available in all rooms.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good hotel; beware doesn't include pool use"
Have just one complaint. The Expedia site features an indoor pool among the pictures. Actually, I was charged an additional $20 for access to the pool, which I don't think was at all proper without the additional fee clearly noted on the Expedia website or the pictures of the pool deleted from the site as it's not included.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Nice Business Hotel"
The Nikko is very convenient to Moscone, Union Square, and public transit. The rooms are spacious and well appointed in a clean, simple style. "Pros and cons"
Area around the hotel, from Powell St station to Mason St had lots of sketchy people approaching anyone with a suitcase. Breakfast buffet was very pricey and service was virtually nonexistent. The real negative was that at 2am the noise from the street was unbearable. Front desk claimed it was the power washers cleaning the sidewalks. Went on for about […] 1 1/2hrs. Needless to say, my next business day was shot. Room, bed and bath were all comfy and modern. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
