Travelodge By The Bay is located within one mile of San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf. This is not a true statement. It's 15 minutes via "a bus" and/or one hour walk. "Not by the Bay or Fishermans Wharf"
Dirty rooms, outlet in bathroom did not work and they didnt offer us a new room but, a maintenance to come look at it. Who wants to deal with that upon check in?, 1/2 hour walk from Fishermans Wharf. "Great San Fransisco Experience"
The accomadations were affordable, clean and very comfortable. The location is perfect with Fisherman's Wharf only a 25 minute walk, Northbeach even closer and public transportation availability a plenty. I plan to stay here next time I come to the city. "Travelodge by the Bay, S.F. - Great Stay"
We read all the reviews & we decided to stay anyway. It couldn't have been more perfect. ALL staff were warm, friendly, helpful, & courteous, not at all rude like some suggested. The elevator was slower than most but that's all. Worked & rode just fine. We didn't find the wall "paper thin" rather the opposite. Our room was on Lombard St (Hwy 101) […] and we heard no noise from it or the restaurant/bar beneath our window. The hotel is perfectly located, but a little difficult to get to due to traffic on Hwy 101. One block to bus to Fisherman's Wharf (after 1st one we walked both ways), 3 easy blocks to bus to Chinatown. The only downside was paying for parking, but since it was clearly displayed online & explained again at check-in, we were okay with it. Some hotels do not charge for parking, this one does. "Slightly pricey, but overall very good"
Safe surroundings (I was travelling alone as a single female so this was much appreciated!), very convenient to get to via bus, nice big room and friendly service staff. Only quibble was that it was slightly pricey but overall, it was a good experience.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Travelodge By The Bay gångavstånd till det mesta"
Helt okej boende med tanke på priset och läget. Inte så tyst på kvällarna i området men det är ju en storstad! Skönt med gångavstånd till Fishermans Wharf. Tar kanske 10-15 min. Lombard street som hotellet ligger efter har häftiga branta gator i riktning mot Fishermans Wharf. Gå den vägen, det är trevligt. Andra hotell har kanske bättre läge men då […] är ofta priset mycket högre. Frukosten är ett skämt, muffins och lite flingor, men det är oftast vad man får som Amerikansk standard. Som tur är finns bra frukostar att få på flera ställen i samma kvarter. Käka ute är min rekommendation. Alla faciliteter fungerade som de skulle och det är en jättebra tvättstuga finns precis i anslutning till hotellet. Parkering kostar extra det kan vara bra att känna till. Räkna med mycket trafik fram till hotellet från flygplatsen. San Francisco har intensiv trafik och ett högt tempo. Hotellet ligger "nära" golden gate bron, ändå tog det över 30min att komma fram dit p.g.a. av all trafik. Allt som allt så kändes detta ställe säkert och bra.
