It was a very short visit, wished I could have stayed longer. I was so impressed with the wonderful warm welcome and the continous courtsey of all the staff. "Great Vacation"
This is a very nice boutique hotel. The bed was very comfortable with the pillows being one soft and one firmer so you can choose which works best for you. There was a ceiling fan in the bedroom which is nice if the room gets too warm. There was water in the lobby all the time. It was nice because they put fruit in the water and it tasted really good. […] They have coffee in the lobby and a one cup coffee maker in the room but also have coffee and orange juice on a few floors (they had it on the 9th floor). We were on the 9th floor so we didn't really hear any noise at night, to speak of. The location is great (half block from Union Square). The staff was great. I would stay here again. The bathroom fixtures are old, but didn't bother us. Right across the street (side of the building for the Westin Hotel) so it is in a nice part of the Square. We have no complaints! I can't speak highly enough about the staff. They made the hotel. The rooms were plenty roomy enough and very clean. Staff made up the room nicely daily. Their business center is awesome, so be sure to visit it. Location was perfect for a lot of walk to locations and public transportation near by. For once one of the small boutique hotels was reasonably priced, located in a great area and the decor and staff were right on. The room was roomy with a lot of ammenities that really added comfort to my stay. The bed and linens were luxe and supper comfortable. The water pressure and hot water were great as well as the lighted make-up mirror and overall […] lighting in the bath. I would recommend your seeking parking just a 1/2 block up from the hotel as I thought their valet service was a bit pricy. I stayed one night for business and was very pleased by the hotel. The staff are very pleasant and caring and the room is very clean, although it's an aged hotel. Greeted very warmly when checking in. Room was very clean and comfortable. My only negatives had to do with the window being single panes. Allowed for much of the ambient city noise to be heard. I go to San Francisco often for cultural events, and I've stayed at many of the boutique hotels around Union Square, because of its central location and the excellent shopping and restaurants. I can say that the Kensington Park is one of the most charming and delightful hotels I have ever stayed at in San Francisco. The staff is A+ and the building […] itself is a real delight with a theater inside and the excellent Farallon Restaurant with some of San Francisco's best seafood right in the building. Excellent hotel. Staff very professional and courteous. Valet parking is a handy service. Great bar for Elks members and their guests. Call them to get the Elks member discount, as Kensington Park Hotel is also Elks Lodge #3. Taxis very easy to find. Restaurants within walking distance. They do have a restaurant on location, but is only open for dinner. […] Our bed was great! Room was clean. The bathroom fixtures need to be updated, the sink was cracked and there was a small amount of mold in the shower and near the rear of the sink. Otherwise, for the price it was a very nice stay. The king sized bed was great. The hotel is old but remodelled. The tub is slow to drain during showering. Staff is great, friendly and helpful. Was able to do an early check in which was great as I had an extended stay in SF due to the hurricane Sandy on the East coast. The rooms dont' have a safe so your valuables are unlocked in the room unless you […] lock them into your bags. I didn't have any theft problems. This is a great location a half block from Union Square. If you want to be in the middle of the city with easy walking access to everything this is a great spot. The rooms are comfortable for 1 or 2 people. A few blocks from the Powell Street BART station so its an easy, inexpensive trip to and from the airport. Located only 50 yards (46m) from Union Square, the hotel is well placed to begin any city tour. Many bus tours have a stop at the Square. Restaurants abound in the immediate vicinity.
