Inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's masterpiece Vertigo, the hotel is designed with eye-catching color schemes and creative flourishes such as animal sculptures. Hotel Vertigo is completely smoke-free. Guests can choose from traditional or renovated rooms. The latter are decorated in tangerine and white and feature flat-panel TVs, iPod docks, cordless phones, compact refrigerators, porcelain horse-head bedside lamps, premium bedding, and signature Vertigo bathrobes. Traditional and renovated rooms include voice mail, in-room safes, and complimentary wireless Internet access.

"Hotel Vertigo-Boutique Experience"
I booked Hotel Vertigo based on the reviews and the fact that I like modern boutique type accomodations. The service was good and for the most part our hotel room was clean and not as small as some other reviewers had commented. The building was old and the hallways had a peculiar odor but our room and bed were comfortable. My only issues is that the […] hotel does not have a minibar for water or a coffee maker. Also, parking with tax came to be about $40 but if you do your homework you'll find that parking is expensive in the city. My wife and I just returned from a trip to San Francisco with our 5 month old daughter and had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Vertigo. The stafff was extremely courteous and the beds were very comfortable. They even had a crib for the baby which was a plus. One of the front desk clerks even sang to my daughter one morning, it was awesome! You can […] park down the street for $21.00 per day and across the street is an awesome cafe called Thad's Cafe. Thad is a very nice gentlemen that took interest inus and our trip and he spoke to us like we were old friends. "Very Nice Place"
This hotel was very nice. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The only downside were the other loud guests who would slam their room doors, or the people next door who tried to open the locked adjoining door...not the hotel's fault, just the stupid guests. Unfortunately, we had a queen bed instead of king, which is why I gave it a 4 instead of 5 for […] comfort of the room. And the pillows were too big. But otherwise, the linens were classy and comfortable. The bathroom was awesome...the shower was huge! They've got some finishing up to do on the renovations, but I would definitely recommend this to anyone! And the location was good too.
