"Okay room for a budget stay between area and money"
We got a room overlooking neighbor's nice green backyard garden. However, the window can not be opened to let air in, so the room at times smells musty and humid (especially the bathroom). The room itself like other reviewers in tripadvisor had mentioned, only has cosmetic looks, it's not a bad look except you can tell it's using old materials to re-fitting […] the room. The server forgot to clean the bathroom hence left no new towels. After we told the front desk, they efficiently changed it though. Overall, the staffs are nice and it's a young, hip looking hotel. Only if the air is fresher... Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"this chain of hotels are all the same"
Some of the staff were extremely nice the other ones stay away from them. The only ice machine was in the lobby. I was on the 7th floor. My room was hot (no air cond just fan) and smelt very old (was disturbing). But the hotel had fresh paint and nice decor. I think im over the Personality hotels.Genuine Expedia guest review
The lobby is way to stark and plain. No warmth to it whatsoever. Rooms ok, towels nice as were the robes.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not impressed...equilabrium at the Vertigo is paying more for your room at check-in."
Stay somewhere else that is nicer for the same price.Genuine Expedia guest review
"So So"
The location was great for walking and the price was cheap. It's not a bad hotel but it's not a great hotel either. It's just so-so.Genuine Expedia guest review

"It is a good choice only if you get a remodeled room."
Location is good. There are tons of restaurants and a nice coffee shop on the corner. Somewhat far away from BART station, but I didn't mind, since walking is good for you. However, choose your way carefully, better ask for directions at the hotel lobby. The room was ugly. It was old. However, with Expedia discount, I was not paying a lot, so there […] is nothing really to complain. Towels were actually quite good, and it was the most enjoyable moment. Wall in this hotel are thin (this is true for every room), so any activity nearby will be heard by almost everyone around. It was quite annoying, since I was in town for business, and a good sleep was extremely valuable. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Hotel Vertigo-Boutique Experience"
I booked Hotel Vertigo based on the reviews and the fact that I like modern boutique type accomodations. The service was good and for the most part our hotel room was clean and not as small as some other reviewers had commented. The building was old and the hallways had a peculiar odor but our room and bed were comfortable. My only issues is that the […] hotel does not have a minibar for water or a coffee maker. Also, parking with tax came to be about $40 but if you do your homework you'll find that parking is expensive in the city. The hotel is several blocks from Union Square which makes it very convenient for shopping, dining out and bar hopping. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"would recommend only in the if it is not hot outside."
Staff was very nice and helpful. NO AC on a humid day was not fun. only one window opens to cool things down. the room did cool down after about 40 min. Our bathroom was nothing like the picture which was what sold me when looking at pictures online. Nice location if you want to be off the busy streets but walking distance to fun sights.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Vertigo"
The bed was horribly hard and the room desperately needed to be remodeled. They are currently remodeling the whole hotel and I will come back again once they finish. The lobby is beautiful! The staff helped us to find free parking close by.Genuine Expedia guest review

"You get what you pay for"
We chose Hotel Vertigo because (1) it was the least expensive 3-star hotel that we could find and (2) it had a better location than some of the others (we avoided others because of the reviews of how unsafe the neighborhoods were). On check-in, they never actually said "hi." It took them about three minutes with us standing right at the desk before […] they even acknowledged we were there (apparently the computer system was down and they were a bit behind) -- and then the first words they said were: "Last name?". So they got the job done, but weren't terribly friendly. It got a little better over the next couple of days; they did their job, but it wasn't the "warmest" place. We chose a non-renovated room for the lower rate, and it was just that. The twin beds were very, very, very firm. Outside our window was a huge white wall about 10 feet away, so we had no view and very little natural light in our room. The room was old, but clean. It was also dark because the light bulbs weren't bright enough. Other than the hard beds and the crappy view, the room was fine. The shower was hot, and the tap-water tasted just fine. Wireless internet was free, but a little slow. Valet parking was expensive--$35/day plus tax. Since this was significantly cheaper than other hotels, I'm definitely not complaining -- just keepin' it real! If you're looking for an inexpensive stay in SFO, I'd recommend Vertigo. If you want more luxury, look elsewhere, or at least get one of the renovated rooms. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Hotel Vertigo can make you dizzy"
See above. I guess it is a matter of character. Either you are making a reservation for a certain room and bed size or you are not. And they don't agree with what you are reserving on line. So watch your back!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good for the price you pay"
My husband and I stayed at Hotel Vertigo for 4 nights while we were in San Francisco for vacation. The hotel is located approximately a 20 minute walk from Union Square (so not really that close if you're looking to be super close to all the action). The hotel itself looks like an old apartment that has been converted into a hotel. The decor of the […] hotel is quite modern, but if you look closely, there is a bit of run-down feel to it (i.e. a bit of peeling in the bath tub, the sinks don't drain that quickly, walls have a bit of peeling), but overall, for the price you pay, it is not bad. The beds are decent and comfortable, so i cant complain. The staff at the front desk are very friendly and helpful with tips of what to do in the city and how to get around with local buses and subway since we wanted to avoid the hefty cab bills that could add up quickly. There is no breakfast at the hotel, but they do put out some coffee and teas in the morning which is nice. There are some cafes where you could have breakfast nearby so its not a big deal.
Hotelli on sijainniltaan suht keskeisellä paikalla. Huoneet olivat siistit, tosin hieman ahtaat.
Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"OK"
