The bulls and bears of industry tread the streets of the Financial District, home to the city’s tallest buildings, including the iconic Transmerica Pyramid. The towers give way to The Embarcadero, the broad, palm-lined avenue that begins at the San Francisco Giant’s AT&T Park and ends at Fisherman’s Wharf. The road passes by the Ferry Building, a landmark transformed into an artisanal food market.

Had great view from our room on 13th floor. We could see the bridge and the bay from our window. Our king size bed was very comfortable! The service was great...they held our luggage for us before and after check in and out. Great deal, will stay again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Beautiful hotel with all the amenities you could need. Valet parking is a bit of a rip off, twice the price of the garage a block down the street.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Lobby closed for renovation"
A nice hotel and conveniently located. Note that the lobby is currently closed for renovation. Access is via a slightly awkward corridor and small elevator. Also a few extras appear to have been eliminated, no newspaper at door, only one soap bar for both sink and shower/tub, only one bathrobe in room, no shower cap, etc.....Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Pathetic room service"
I stayed here for 5 nights. They cleaned room only once completely . The service lady said twice that she was too busy to manage 3 floors so she would just change the bath towels. This is RIDICULOUS serviceGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good location"
Overall we were happy with our stay. The location was within walking distance to many attractions since the city really isn't that big. We were a little disappointed that the lobby was under construction as the lobby is really what gives you your first overall impression of the hotel. We kind of felt like we were being sneaked in a back entrance, but […] other than that the service was good and the hotel rooms were pretty clean and comfortable. We had a partial view of SF bay which was nice. I understand the higher floors have an even better view (we were on the 12th floor). A lot of the area restaurants and businesses are closed on the weekends so if you're looking for restaurants other than the Elephant and Castle that's right across the street you have to travel a ways away from the hotel. "Typical aging SF hotel"
You can tell its one of the older hotels like Clift because the interior hasn't been renovated for at least 20 years and the way it's designed. Elevators are slow too. That being said the only real problem is that they have really loud maids banging on the doors in the morning asking for room service where the whole floor can hear. They really ought […] to train their staff to be cognizant of the lack of sound insulation and tone it down accordingly. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice SF Hotel"
This was a nice hotel and good value. The room is much nicer and newer than many in SF. We got the package that included parking. Some complained about the lobby being closed for renovations, but they offered free coffe and tea in the make shift lobby and we were not interested in hanging out in the lobby anyway with so much to do in SFGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Main intolerance is currently under refurbishing so one has to take two lifts to get to the room. I had permanent issues with room keys - that resulted in getting back to the reception 3 times in two days. Note the internet connection is very poor so don't expect to videoconference from the hotel. It also went down for few hours on the first night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great stay despite renovation"
The room was fantastic (great view, neat, clean, modern). Location was also great - could walk to North Beach, Chinatown, etc. The only trouble was that the hotel lobby was being renovated, which caused some inconvenience going up and down to the room (had to take two different elevators). Also, it would have been nice to have a lobby to hang out in. […] I wish this renovation status had been clearly noted on the website or reservation confirmation. "Hotel in renovation & didn't advise of this"
Many miscues. Overlong wait on check in. Not enough staff. Have to take freight elevator to the lobby. Told bar was open by staff when it was closed. Staff unempowered to assist guests. A nice property, with a good location, but really needs to focus on its management.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"stay at Le Meridian"
It was ok, very hard to find the hotel entrance and where to pull the car in. The staff was very friendly but I didn't like having to use the valet service because then if i needed something additional from my car I had to call the valet. Also, very hard to find the front desk, hotel is in disarray from construction. I would never stay at this hotel […] again and would advise friends and family to not stay there. "great location"
Hotel location is convenient to restaurants and bars. Only thing for me to knit pick about is the valet and parking situation. Valet guys were friendly but not very knowledgeable about the area. Valet cost $54 per night when i later found out they park the car across the street in a garage that charges alot less.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great stay. Really comfy bed. Wine prices are ridiculously high. They always hike them up in a bar or hotel, but they are crazy high here and for not so great wine. Watch that - otherwise, a fantastic spot!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel, jackhammerimg awful"
Very nice room, thought perhaps since I booked through hotels.com I got the worst room that met the description. So called water view was peekaboo fr the fifth floor. They started remodeling the restaurant below and VERY loud jackhammerimg was incessant. Front desk kept putting me off despite numerous calls. No compensation was offered. Tried to work […] in my room but it was very hard to concentrate. Cleaning staff was very sweet. I'd recommend the Hyatt over this place. Also, the Omni had slightly smaller rooms, but the excellent staff more than made up for it. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Beautiful hotel, friendly staff, excellent stay"
I was very impressed by how modern, clean, and spacious my room was here. Compared to other hotels in the area, I thought that this one was a great deal for the quality and the price paid. I did get a deal off hotels.com, and the staff at Le Meridien also treated me to a free upgrade to an executive king suite upon arrival. So the whole experience definitely […] delighted me. One wall of the bathroom consisted of floor-to-ceiling windows, which was exquisite and offered a peek at the bay and the Bay Bridge; Beautiful in the morning! I also noted how quiet the rooms and the hallway were. All in all this was a really nice stay. I will definitely try to stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Le Meridian - Perfect Stay"
The staff was so helpful and nice, especially Josiah at the front desk. We were apprehensive as we were traveling for the first time with our 10 month old. Le Meridian anticipated our needs, and everyone on the service staff was top notch. And so close to the Ferry Building! Thanks Le Meridian SF.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"right in the Financial District"
really enjoyed this hotel and will come again. room service is very pricey so if you can, eat before you get there. location is awesome and I bought the parking package, which is a great deal other wise I would have had to pay a hefty amount for the parking!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
