We booked a Bay View room as it was a 50th birthday celebration. When we were told that the corner room on the top floor was available, we were delighted, thinking that we would then have both an eastern and southern view. It's a corner, right? Wrong! Guess what takes up that valuable real estate. A freight elevator! (I guess I could be a little more […] forgiving if even the elevator had had the view but, sadly, no...) Our view was lovely, of course, as well as the sliding glass door which, when opened, allowed the pigeons to share your room as well. NOT a joke... The water closet, however, was so tiny that there was not enough room for knees, toilet, and door so something had to be left out of the room when necessity required its use. It was just very strange architectural room design and, for that much money, I will probably book somewhere else the next time I stay in the City. Read more

We had a great time at the hotel. The lights in the lobby are amazing. The room was comfortable and clean. The only issue we had was during the night some people were yelling on the street below and woke the family. We laughed it off and went back to sleep.

Stayed at this hotel for a wedding nearby and found it comfortable, all the right amenities and very well located. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only issue of note was the clock in the room was off by 30 minutes??? would definitely stay here again when in San Francisco.

Stayed at the Hyatt for two nights. Beautiful lobby, excellent service and comfortable beds. The reason I marked it down in the rooms and cod option category is because the showers were pretty outdated with pretty poor water pressure. Other than that I lived everything else about my stay!

I stayed on 3-1-13 and on weekends the construction doesn't seem to be an issue, but on weekdays the roadwork outside the hotel starts at 8am. If you are not an early riser be warned. Also, the construction apparently involved some underground work which caused a problem on the lowest level of the conference rooms because of a horrible smell. Not a […] problem in the rest of the hotel so don't worry about the guest rooms. Great location, convenient to lots of stuff and BART. Also, if you do check in before 3pm and want privacy, be sure to put the note on the door. I tried to nap and four times housekeeping tried to come in to check the room. I had the buffet breakfast in the hotel restaurant. It was mostly awful. The coffee was excellent. The granola was good. The eggs and corned beef hash were tepid and dried out. The french toast was inedible. I would have done better to order off the menu, but didn't want to wait around for service. Parking is outrageous - $60/day. Wifi is extra.

The atrium impressed me as I walked to check-in. Dangling lights (double quantity due to the holiday season) really add some awe to the massive space. I found my room to be spacious, with a nice view of the Ferry Building, including a door wall that opens for better viewing/fresh air. Drinks and apps at the hotel bar were nice, and the ambiance of looking into the atrium is a great touch. The location is great. I stayed for one evening on business at the hotel and I have to say they really go out of their way to ensure your stay is memorable. From check in to check out you are treated like royalty! The only reason I didn't rate give a top overall rating is because it is expensive!! Over $60 for valet(including tip) $22 for express dry cleaning(for 1 suit!). […] $30 for the breakfast buffet(including tip) an drinks at the bar were good and sting, but spendy! When we checked in we opted for a bay view room for a $30 premium. The room's safe was missing - where it had been was quite obvious. A phone call to the desk got us moved two doors away to another bay view room with a safe. When my wife tried to open the sliding glass door to the view, it fell out of the tracks. Another phone call got the head of maintenance […] right up to the room but he diagnosed the problem as too serious to fix in a reasonable time so he called for another change of room but he though an upgrade was called for. A bellman was sent up to move us to a bay view room with a walkout patio on a "Regency Club" floor that included full membership for the three days we would be staying. This included a lavish breakfast buffet, all imaginable drinks and snacks all day, serious pre-dinner hors d'oeuvres and an honor bar. It's located in the circular glass-walled room on the top of the property. It was lovely and we fully appreciated the hotel's eagerness to make up for the problems. They definitely succeeded! We have stayed there many times but this was the first time there were any problems and they certainly did well by us. Read more

The hotel is nice but a bit outdated. The room was cold no matter how the thermostat was adjusted. Considering how high the room rate was, there should have been free internet but it was extra - a lot extra, and so was parking. The overnight parking charge was the highest I have ever seen in any city, any where.

Stains in the carpeting were a little disappointing, but the bed was very clean and comfortable. The hotel is older, so it is entitled to have a few minor issues. Overall, the room was very clean and comfortable. Loved the location and the staff. I would visit again.

We stayed at the Hyatt for just one night. The hotel located in the Financial district, a few blocks away from the most tourist areas. We actually prefer this way. We were there for the weekend and we really enjoyed the empty streets. The room is large for SF standards but the bathroom is relatively small. There are plenty of power outlets so you can […] always find one to recharge you gadgets. The hotel seems well maintained (but a little dated). The light decoration pending from the roof in the lobby is very nice. The bar in the lobby is good but we wanted to go to the Regency Club on the rooftop. However, we arrived too late. They informed us that it closes at 9:00pm and also you need to make reservations. This is not a budget hotel at all but if you want to stay in a good hotel in SF there are no cheap options. You can find low-cost hotels in the nearby cities for a lot less but then you have to drive back to SF what may take around 30 minutes depending on where you stay. Read more

I had to pay for internet. Used room service for breakfast and it never arrived, but then I got complimentary lunch. The bed was very comfortable and the room a good size.It was a " bay view" room but it was a partial bay view. The staff is very efficient and friendly.

The hotel and service are very good. Only negative point is the neighborhood. Indeed my girlfriend told me that she would have not appreciated coming back alone to the hotel at night considering the population that surrounded the hotel neighborhood. Of course the hotel cannot do a lot against it but it worth noting it.

The hotel is close to Pier 1. All the tourist stops are in proximity to Pier 39. We loved the location - very quiet! Although we did have about a 30 minute walk to pretty much anything - but we didn't mind. We loved the lack of tourists!

The hotel was in a good location to go sightseeing, and easy access to buses and street cars. Also great for walking to many of the attractions. The maid service was good, but we did have to request extra towels, new drinking glasses, and coffee machine replenishment, which should have been automatic. Other than that, the hotel worked out great!

great hotel, great staff, great location, clean. Rooms a bit small and we had bad luck of noisy obnoxious group of pot smoking, rude, crude young adults in the room next door, but management did what they had to do to get them to shut up.
