Sheraton Fisherman's Wharf

Overall, the stay was fantastic. A quick, last-minute trip with the family to play at Pier 39 for the day made this location extremely convenient with only two blocks to the Pier/Warf. We didn't spend much time in our room, so it was sufficient; however, the bathroom was a little tight quartered (usable, but tight). There was parking at the hotel that […] accomodated my SUV, which is saying a lot in the city. The only other possible complaint that I had was the breakfast buffet at the hotel charged quite a bit of money for what is usually a free continental breakfast at most hotels. Best shower head I have ever had at a hotel! Price too high for parking when you are already staying at hotel. No free WIFI NO free Breakfast NO bottled water. Only free thing they gave you was coffee for your in room coffee maker. Nice hotel.

Hotel location is just the way we wanted it. Just a block away from Fisherman's Warft. Hotel parking is $53 per day. Rooms are not fancy but not bad. Room, location, and services are great. My family and i got there around 10 am and our room was ready so thats a plus. Downside is... Parking fee is ridiculous! And there's a charge for wifi?!?! This is a great location, however the added $50 per day for parking was a surprise and this definitely took away from the rate that I thought was so good. No free wifi in the rooms was an added disappointment. Otherwise, a very nice hotel.

This was our first stay in San Francisco and we choose the location of the hotel based upon a friends recommendation. Fishermans Wharf is a great location to use as a home base for trips, and there are plenty of places to eat within a few minutes of the hotel. One aspect of the Sheraton's location is a problem. The back side of the hotel overlooks the […] local bus parking which on a couple of nights a week, does maintanence and keeps bus engines running alnight long. The hotel was clean as were the rooms, the staff when dealt with were always attentive and helpful, promptly fixing the tv in our room even at 10pm. One drawback on this and other hotels in the area is the fees for parking, even hotel guests are charged $45 a day (although by asking at check-in) I had this reduced to $35. We did not use the pool or Fitness room although but did enjoy the outdoor fire pits, which were wonderful at the end of a cold day. Room was very small for double-beds, staff engagement was cold and dry, paid for parking ($51 tax included) and only 15 min window to leave after you validate your parking ticket, have to run up again to revalidate... very inconvenient and not customer-friendly system. I very much enjoyed the stay nice staff, friendly, clean, parking is $45.00 but you are allowed to enter and exit as you wish which was fair since all the parking around the area is about the same. Great place to stay my children and I enjoyed it greatly. The pool was heated so they got in and it we were in November a cold season.

The walls were rather thin and we were awakened several times each night by noisy revellers. However, they had a really nice lobby with a sushi bar, drinks, etc. The location was very nice and so was the room.

5 Star invoice for not even 3 star service. Everything at the Sheraton was extra - wifi, parking and breakfast. After staying at the Balagio in Las Vegas I had expected similar levels of service especially as the Sheraton was charging twice as much. Service was non existent. The hotel charges for everything. The business center even charges .50 cents per page, wifi in your room is $15.00, valet $51.00 per night, no complimentory anything. The beds are uncomfortable, the A/C is hard to regulate. I asked for a room with a view and got a view of the bus yard where they wash all the buses. The hotel was located in an excellent location, only a couple blocks from Fisherman's Wharf. The f-train drives right past it and the open top bus tours start a block away. Very convenient. The room was very clean and the beds really comfortable. My only issue with the room was that we looked out onto the bus terminal and it was noisy at times. I had […] the feeling that because we had a pre-paid room we were shuffled to the far end of the hotel, but that could have just been me. Our favorite part were the firepits and seating areas outside - we spent both nights out there with glasses of wine and even had friends come down and visit us there instead of heading out. The consierge was very helpful. My only other complaint is that for their rate they sure are stingy with other services. WiFi was not included and they charge per minute for even local calls.
