"Too Many Fee's"
Well first off you can only park 1 vehicle at the hotel, and they charge you a fee per night to park also they charge you another fee per night resort fee which this hote by far is NO RESORT. THere are no lights at the pool except in the pool, the staff is rude and not friendly, no staff came to clean our room or give us fresh towels, there were hardly […] no plates or pots to cook with and little to no silverware, the hot tub was broken. "not the my best trip"
The elevators were slow, we had wait for 30 minutes after checkin time for our room to be ready. When we got off the elevator the smell of marijauna like to knock you down. I was glad my kids were not with me. They charge 5.00 a day for parking in a parking lot you had to be in a compact car to get in and out. It was very nice except that there were no places to eat in walking distance. My friend and I did not rent a car, so we had to pay to take the bus or a taxi every night. Also, they serve NO food at the hotel after continental breakfast ends at 10am. So you either have to buy things to eat for lunch (what we did) or go out for lunch AND dinner. During this our fourth visit, my wife and I were greatly disappointed. A/C at the bar was not working, hallways showed a lot of wear - well overdue for carpet replacement, and the room could have used a lot of detailed cleaning. and perhaps an upgrade. "Very nice staff and pool"
Stayed for a girls wknd and very satisfied. The staff was beyond friendly and helpful. Hotel is located about 3 miles from the Ocean Walk and pier. The hotel is right next to the beach, which is a good thing. The other hotels in the nearby area all seem to be of the same mediocre caliber, so I doubt they would be any better. The hotel offers free breakfast, which is good, though it is nothing to get ecited about. Cons: - Our room was not ready by 4 PM when we got to the hotel. We had to wait an […] extra 20 minutes in the lobby for our room. - The door to our room was open when we got there. - The balcony door would not lock - the lock broke completely. We told the hotel front desk staff about this, but nothing was done. - The AC unit in the room sounded like a turnbine engine. - The "Oceanview" room was actually a limited oceanview from the side. - The parking at the hotel, particularly at night, was awful. The parking area is very narrow and the lot fills up completely at night on a weekend. - Overall, I am not sure I would go back to Daytona Beach in general. Staff were extremely helpful and always friendly.Pool was LARGE and plenty of very comfortable lounge chairs. Room was an effeciency.
