"Not Happy At all"
We checked in very late after our plans were changed and needed an extra bed. Since we booked though hotels.com, we were told we would have to contact them - not what I wanted to hear! Booked a non-smoking room with a King-sized bed. Had been to this hotel before and was pleased. This time when we arrived at the room, it smelled of cigarette smoke, even though it was clearly marked as a non-smoking room. A partially smoked cigarillo laid on the walkway outside the room. "They never said WHAT "quality"."
Carpeting was very dirty - lint, crumbs and long hair all over it, especially in the area of the bathroom vanity (which is outside the separate tub/toilet room). Someone else's lip balm rolled out from beneath the edge of the bed skirt when we went to tidy up the bedding the next morning. Eeeeew - was this place vacuumed at all after the last guest[s]? […] Checkout time was 12pm: we hung the Do Not Disturb sign on the door, and still got a call from the front desk (11:40am) AND a knock on the door from housecleaning (11:45am) as we were packing to leave. It's just bad form to pester guests when they are adults, the checkout time is prominently posted AND stated at check-in, and they have the DND sign on their door.
