"overpriced"
The hotel is old and rundown and the rates are not in line with the condition of the hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not Happy At all"
We checked in very late after our plans were changed and needed an extra bed. Since we booked though hotels.com, we were told we would have to contact them - not what I wanted to hear! In the morning, the ill-fitting bottom sheet was off the bed to show old blood stains on the bed. We left a day early and found a better hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"avoid this hotel"
very dissapointed. Room was not adequately cleaned, bed left unmaid, dirty laundry etc. Management was not helpful and did not deliver on promised remedies. Would NOT recommend.Genuine Expedia guest review

We would like to specifically apologize for the cleanliness of your room. Since your stay, we have upgraded our housekeeping training programs, as well as hired a new executive housekeeper. Whether positive or negative, guest comments are the best way for us to improve and grow. We do hope that you will reconsider and visit us again next time you are in the area.
"Carpet sodden-room mouldy/musty- hotel did nothing"
On checking in noticed room smelled awfully damp. We saw mold in bathroom. Initially did not care too much, noting there is apparently no natural ventilation in these rooms other than the door (which we duly propped open). But we soon realised that parts of the carpet were soggy (truly as if someone had tipped water on the floor), while the entire carpet […] was damp to the touch. Reported to front desk who undertook to investigate and get maintenance to verify (presumably before giving us a different room). We waited ... Waited... Nothing. On following up we were told 'oh thats just the ac unit leaking - that happens' (as if this was normal), and in any case the ' maintenance guy goes home at night' (as if I was silly for expecting something to be done about it). We definitely won't be back. Aside from that room was tiny and need of renovation - neighborhood a bit sketchy too. Linen was clean, and Pool and breakfast were okay, however. Response by Quality Inn Colchester/Burlington Area Thank you for taking the time for review our hotel. We sincerely apologize for any inconveniences your stay with us may have caused. The staff at Quality Inn Colchester encourage our guest to contact the front desk immediately with any issues regarding their accommodations. We do this so that proper action to find a solution can be taken in a timely fashion. In the case of a noisy cooling unit, we could call our maintenance department to take a look, or switch the guests to a more fitting room. We hope this explanation clears us any concerns your stay with us may have caused, and that you stay with us again so that we may better serve you.
"Not a great place to stay"
I do want to live in this hotel again. The sink problem has never been resolved completely during my stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Poor Experience"
Our room was so poorly kept we asked for a full refund.. Our heater didn't work, the room was full of cobbwebs, and when my wife pulled back the sheets we noticed blood stains with a bed bug in the sheet. Immediately -we left and asked for a refund.Genuine Expedia guest review
"over priced room"
1st night: no place to park due to fishing boats everywhere, no heat in the room, no vent fan in the bathroom( steams up the mirror so bad you cant use it and the potty smells). 2nd night: keycard had to be reprogrammed( this happened every time we tried to get into the room). no coffee packs left for morning. tv remote wouldnt work unless right in […] front of the tv. bedding keeps slipping off the bed( too small for a king size bed). Room displayed in their ad is their suite, not the standard room they sold us. Good selection for breakfast (hot or cold). Too pricey for what you really got. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Need and over haul"
We were dissappointed with several things. 1st they had the cabinet for the fridge and microwave right under the closet to hang clothes. We had to move it inorder to hang our clothes on the rack 2nd the sheets did not fit the mattress there were very thin and never stayed on the bed. 3rd For a non-smoking room the people were smokiing next to us […] and it was traveling into our room. I did complain to the management on all 3 of these issues. The room was clean Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Found earplug in the bed!!"
Awful, awful, awful. There isn't much more to say. When you find an earplug in your bed and the receptionist tells you to come get sheets to change the bed yourself.... need I say more!Genuine Expedia guest review
