It seemed clear that the AmericInn was the best option in Hastings. The hotel across the street was nearly empty while the AmericInn was packed. With... that said, the rooms were decent. The shower was small and could use a major remodel job, but it was tolerable. Worst part about the stay was the continental breakfast. Eggs were microwaved (didn't know they could taste so bad!), the jelly for toast was nasty and there was no fruit, not even the standard red apples and bruised bananas. Front desk staff were very nice though and the pool and hot tub were great. I wasn't expecting much for Hastings, so we weren't surprised by what we got. by a Hotels.com guest on 09/08/11
