"Poor service"
Convenient location, close to JFK, but had a very bad experience with the front desk. To arrange for a free shuttle pick-up from JFK, customers are told to call the hotel via a courtesy phone at Federal Circle. I flew into JFK at 10:00pm. I dialed the phone continuously for 15 min. with no one picking up. Then I tried calling the front desk directly […] using my cell phone for another 25 min. with the same result. Frustrated, I decided to wait at the curb in case the shuttle happens to come. Fortunately it did, another 35 min. later. When I finally arrived at the hotel close to midnight I asked the front desk why no one had picked up the phone. The clerk responded that he was busy checking people in and decided to put the phone on "night mode". The most frustrating part was that he offered no apology, and complained that customers don't understand what goes on behind the counter. Lastly, I was assigned a smoking room even though I specified non-smoking during the booking. "Handy stop over point for early flight"

This hotel is extremely convenient to the airport. The only downside is that there is no local food. I arrived at the hotel to check in at 11 pm, so had a short stay, but upon arrival I was told that the only available room was a smoking room even though I had requested a non smoking room. Come to find out the only smoking rooms are on the ground floor, below the lobby area. "Smoke Malodor!"
The hotel smells like an ashtray. I booked a non-smoking room but on arrival they only had a smoking room for me. Next day they gave me a non-smoking room, but it smelled anyways. The free shuttle picked us up at JFK and took us to the hotel which is in an industrial area. Has a tiny lobby and but adequate breakfast which begins at 6am. The room small and smelled like mold but was adequate for a short night before an early flight. The shuttle runs every 30 minutes 24 hours a day and is full at 6:30am but the staff is very efficient […] at keeping things going. I didnt say friendly, I said efficient, and if you have a flight to make that's what matters most. I would reccomend this hotel as a 1 night stopover for which it is excellent. The area is a littlee lacking in ameneties so would probably not be brilliant for a leoisure stay. The shuttle bus collection is fine as you can get on a Comfort Inn or Holiday Inn Express bus as well. The hotel, whilst situated in an area somewhat lacking in things to do, is conveniently located near to the airport which makes it an ideal choice if you are on a stop over and awaiting your next/early flight - particularly since they offer a free shuttle to and from the airport.
