Doing genealogy work that carried me to Selma, Dallas County. I spent two nights at this motel. The room was clean, house keeping was great. Thursday... night was nice and quite with restful sleep but Friday night all heck broke lose. Other guests drinking and partying until 2 a.m. and throwing their beer bottles off the second floor with glass outside of my door when I walked out at 5:30am and beer cans in the parking lot. Considering the rooms have carpets, they must use a deodorizer for them. However, it was so strong that it sent my allergies out of control, I could not breathe, my husband could not sleep, the smell was in his throat. I did bring my own blankets and pillows, towels, and when I got home, the smell was so strong that it was absorbed into my things. The room was nice and clean enough for our quick overnight stay. The linens were very clean. However, the carpet and upholstered chair were pretty nasty! Our 3 year old had black feet after walking on the carpet! The continental breakfast was good and very kid friendly. It was definitely okay for the price!
