Over all a very nice place to stay. The bathroom could us more towel bars and clothing hooks and the tub faucet leaked if you turned it to the off position. Posting the next morning's breakfast menu the evening before would be helpful in planning where you wish to eat breakfast and how early you must get up.

The breakfast was amazing! We loved having coffee/tea or beer/wine in the garden. The staff was very sweet and helpful with dinner recommendations. And the location is perfect for seeing the town - we walked pretty much everywhere. The rooms are a little small, but more than adequate, as well as very comfortable and clean.

Loved the cottage however I reserved a king size room and was upgraded to a cottage which I did not not want as a single traveler. I wanted to stay in the main lodge....breakfast was included in my reservations however was not in the cottage so had to negotiate that which they were happy to accomodate. Overall great stay.

A very cute inn with lot's of character! Close to all the shopping and restaurants. We had a wonderful time staying here, the breakfast was our favorite part, made fresh daily, the spread was amazing, cheese and meats, fruit, granola and cereal, pastries etc. And in the evenings they make a treat for the guests, very beautiful place!

What a gem. I had a remarkable 2 day stay at the Alpine House and I will definitely return. The staff is very attentive and the property is quite comfortable. The front porch/lawn area is a treat in the evening. Additionally, the Inn has an excellent parking lot.

I can't speak to the single rooms, but the cottage we stayed in was superb. We can completely envision returning and staying for several days. My only complaint was that breakfast ended before the time noted in the room's info, so we missed out and had to go out for food.

This was one of the best hotels/Inns/B&Bs I have ever been to. The place is cozy and friendly, and in a great location. The breakfast is amazing: fresh omelettes, waffles, fresh fruit, fresh cheese, fantastic coffee and tea. The staff is friendly and accomodating. The rooms are very clean. The Alpine House is a great alternative to a hotel in Jackson Hole. The location is great. The staff is friendly. The rooms are adequate, though small. The breakfast is yummy and the setting is lovely. We had a wonderful experience.

This has to be one of my favorite hotels ever. Small hotel but makes you feel special. Room, yes was on the small size, but had a deep tub & gas fireplace (very romantic). When we have stayed at B & B's in the past we have so pleased with the level of friendliness from the innkeepers/staff. This was not the case at Alpine House. Arriving earlier than check in time we knew our room would most likely not be ready but just wanted to find the place and then go for lunch. Our greeting was "Your room is not ready". No welcome, […] no offer to have a cup of coffee, etc. Our tour of the inn was lack luster at best. No offer of restaurants, things to do. Breakfast and the very nice garden area are about the best things we can say about Alpine House. Small rooms, thin walls, no one introducing themselves to us, no help with local options....the list could go on and on. Very disappointing. A sad way to end a wonderful trip where we stayed in several locations with staff and service of the level we appreciated. Do check out Nani's for italian food- just down the street and Rendevouz Bistro. Also found the driving tour information at the Visitor's Center very helpful in finding our way around the beautiful Grand Tetons. Read more

We only stayed one night, but the room over the dining room was charming, clean and bright. There was a small balcony, but the afternoon sun was too hot. The fan came in handy as there is no air conditioning -- the window opens to let in the cool night air though.. The coffee and breakfast were superb -- a bit of a smorgasboard with cheese, meat, fruit, […] muffins and bagels and toaster, fresh juice. Loved the whole look of the place. We felt this room was a a bit pricey for what we got. Extremely small room with no amenities such as a microwave or small fridge. The breakfast was average, at best. On a positive note, it was extremely clean and quant but we won't be staying the alpine house on our next visit.

The bed was comfortable and the breakfast is a delight. The room was warm and comfortable. This is an older building with older plumbing so the water pipes are wee bit noisy, but not so much that it keeps one awake (and I am a light sleeper). Enjoyed our stay and really relaxed.

The bed was super comfy, the hotel was super quiet, being off the main drag. Woke up to the smell of breakfast being prepared which was one of the best I've ever had. Great selection, excellent coffee, can't say enough. They even offered espresso which was a plus for us (although it cost extra, still less than the coffee house down the street!). The […] evenings you had the option of having a cocktail, beer or wine and sit outside, or they also have a little library room. Also a recommendation for dinner to Lotus just a block away ... one of the most interesting menus, and one of the best meals I've had out in a long time. Only complaint, if you can call it that, was that our room was very small, although there was a little deck you could sit outside (again super small), and no view of the Tetons or something other than just the buildings across the street. This is a lovely European style hotel on a quiet street two blocks from Jackson town square. The rooms are small with very small TVs, but you're not supposed to be in your room if you're in Jackson and surrounding area anyway. Our only complaint, also voiced by others, is that it is difficult to find at night. It is right where Google Maps says it is, […] but there is only a small, unlighted sign, which we didn't see until daylight the next morning. The building looks like a large private residence. Also if you arrive after 8 pm and try to call the desk for directions you only get an answering machine. Everyone was very nice. We would go there again. Read more

The staff were very friendly and helpful. There had been a problem with our reservation (our fault, not theirs) and they went out of their way to make it right. Our room was very comfortable and we loved the decorating and specialty soaps. We especially enjoyed the outdoor patios, lovely grounds and the great breakfasts. Coffee and homemade goodies […] were available all day too. The location is great, only a couple of blocks from downtown Jackson but in a quiet neighborhood. Stayed at the Alpine House for 3 nights in June. The location is right in the heart of downtown and within walking distance of all the tourist attractions, restaurants and shops. We were in the "original section" of the inn, which unfortunately does not have air conditioning. This would normally not be a problem, but Jackson can get uncomfortably warm […] this time of year. The room itself was nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. The room had a reasonable good B&B feel about it., even though it was built originally in 1994. The afternoon snacks, cookies, pastries, teas, and coffees are a nice unexpected touch and they were delicous. The breakfast was reasonably good and the chef prepares a different breakfast item each day. The hotel staff was helpful, although not overly friendly. The hotel claims to have a sauna and a hot tub, but the hot tub was apparently removed a while back, so only the sauna remains. I would certainly consider staying here again if I'm ever back in Jackson, but there are plenty of other comparable options for around the same price range in the area. Read more

So different (in good!) from what I expected! Rooms are quite small, but very cozy, like the rest of the place. Very relaxing and friendly ambient. I had no time to try the spa/sauna (too bad!), but the book corner makes the place look more like a shared house than a hotel. People are friendly, food (for what I've tried) is tasty and made of good products. […] I arrived to late to have a lunch prepared for the day after, but that's also a plus. Actually, the whole place reminded me of some bed & breakfast places I enjoy so much. Finally, the "green" label and products is a plus. Only negative point: don't try the "fake" fireplace in the room: quite unpleasant smell probably due to the painting arises after only 5 minutes, but takes much more time to leave! That aside, it's really a very nice place, and it was very hard to leave after only one night spent there. I'll definitely come back! Read more

I have visited Jackson Hole several times. Each time I have stayed at different establisments and by far enjoyed my stay at the Alpine House Inn the best. I will stay here again

Although, our room was small and the air conditioner was a bit loud. We like the hotel altogether very much. It has a family atmosphere. The common room and gardens invite to hang out, get to know the other guests or just relax and read a book.

Positives - nice brunch, clean, cosy, great music in lobby - 60s-70s, convenient to town. The workers were friendly but a bit too disinterested, ie felt intrusive asking questions. Also farily expensive for what it was yet market at high season. Bed not ideal as I got a back ache but spacious rooms.
