I love Hotel Indigo. Have yet to stay in one I didnt like. however, you must be ok with very, very small rooms and old hotels. Because that is exactly what this one is. It was a very nice hotel, but it not for those who want to be away from children and tourist traps. Probably my biggest complaint was the lack of a decent bar/restaurant in the area. Basically dives and chain bars. However, the price is good, its clean, and easy to get around from.

I was thankful for the awesome valet service as parking in this area is scarce. The front desk people were awesome and the location is ideal as the Alamo is right across the street. The room was very clean with good amenities. I will stay there again in the future.

My family of 6 rented two rooms during a stay in February 2013. The location couldn't be beat as it is right across from The Alamo and very close to the river walk. The hotel was easy to find with valet parking. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The restaurant offerred a very yummy breakfast. My only complaint (why I rated it a 4 for comfort) […] was there was a loud consistent noise during the second night (sounded like a very loud toilet running all night) which kept some of us awake. Stayed at this hotel for a conference at the convention center. The hotel is directly across the street from the Alamo and about 3-4 blocks from the convention center. the stops for tour buses are about 2 blocks away. Riverwalk is about 2-3 blocks away. Location? From our room we had a view of the front of the Alamo and we were only a couple of blocks from the Riverwalk. What more could you ask for? Good Value? Definitely. Rooms? Clean, but small. Our room with 2-queen beds was a bit small for 4-people. The location was great and the price was very good. We parked in the lot next door for $10/day, but there are no in/out priveleges. Their computers worked well and the restaurant was fine for breakfast.

Absolutely no parking, unless you plan on spending the 25 a night on valet. Customer service was lacking, front desk attendant did not mention the fee that would be applied to the credit card that can take up to 30 days to be refunded. rooms were relatively small and unless you get a spot on the south corner of the building, the view from the room is […] awful. I used the Hotel Indigo to get a little sleep between trains which changed in the middle of the night in San Antonio on the way to another destination. I requested an early wake-up call from staff, and that happened followed with a second wake-up call to make sure I made it to the train station. Staff also called me a taxi to take me to the train station […] at checkout time. When asked, they provided historical information about the hotel which I found very interesting. I got some sleep on my layover, and accomplished what I set out to do. There are two Hotel Indigos in downtown San Antonio. Luckily I mentioned to my cab driver I was going to the one near the Alamo. It was just ok. Absoloutly over rated. Very noisy rooms with thin walls. Ppl were having party in the corridor for the whole night and nobody came to give them a notice. Do not waste ur money in this place.

It's right across from the Alamo, Easy walking to most everywhere downtown. The Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Small and quiet. Wood floors in the room rather than carpet made it feel cleaner than your normal wall to wall carpet. The restaurant in the hotel has a lovely selection for breakfast.

Our stay was pretty good overall. The hotel was at a great location. We walked to the Rivercenter Mall, the riverwalk and to eat and shop. The room was nicely decorated and comfy. My 2 only complaints is that our shower head needed more pressure and the bathroom needs a vent. Other than that, is was good for the price :D

I booked this hotel because I stayed here before for New Years. It was so close to everything. The room itself was really nice. In fact, the decor from the flooring , to colors of the walls inspired me to remodel one of my room back at home. When I got there they gave me a two queen bed, the bathroom was super small, in all the room was really small. So I went up to the front desk to see if they could change my room. They did change my room, but the room was not what I really expected. The floor was cracking, the room was small too, the bathroom was okay. Best to use valet parking because you have to pay each time you re-enter the self-parking lot. But the valet is off premises, so it takes at least fifteen minutes to get your car. Food odor was overwhelming when entering hotel. Staff was at best only adequate. Wouldn't return.

We chose the Hotel Indigo because of it's proximity to the Alamo and all of the attractions close by. The best thing about this hotel was the breakfast. The Texas Waffle and Breakfast Quesadilla were terrific. We enjoyed breakfast there each morning. I have prior experience with Hotel Indigo and this property was a 3 out of 5 stars for me. The staff […] was excellent especially the valet and front desk team. I downgraded by two stars for two reasons....one - internet was difficult to gain access. It also resets at midnight on Sunday night so if you are there for the weekend you may have difficulty getting internet Sunday especially if you are trying to check in for flights, etc. The second downgrade was for cleanliness of the restroom in our room. The floors and shower stall have tile....which is beautiful...but only when it's clean. Dirty tile makes you think dirty hotel even though the rest of the property was very clean and kept. Great stay....not sure I'll stay there again as a competing property is very close and I had a better experience there. Read more
