The languid San Antonio River and its famed River Walk connect many downtown attractions, including the Alamo Plaza and HemisFair Park. Built for the 1968 World’s Fair, HemisFair Park is the site of the 750-foot Tower of the Americas. Visitors, though, won’t forget the Alamo, site of the legendary 1836 battle between Mexican soldiers and Texan secessionists. Nearby, Mexican goods fill El Mercado.see all hotels in San Antonio
"nice place, but..."
Be ready to either park blocks away and pay or pay $30 to valet per night because they have no parking. It's at the end of the River, mood killer going outside and seeing a singing drunk hobo right there. The evening Bistro kitchen was ridiculously slow. Well over 30 minutes was Entirely too long to wait for a sandwich.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
not bad, good value for moneyGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"S.A. weekend Marriott on the riverwalk"
The room was great and employees too, however the parking was fee was a surprise to me.I was charge 29.00 dollars for parking at a hotel i was staying at. In Las Vegas o charge at hotels were we stayed at. the room view was not great. as well ;it was my wife first time to S.A river walk it would of been nice to see the river.Genuine Expedia guest review
"San Antonio Courtyard Mariott"
This hotel was extremely clean, staff was very courteous, bedroom and bath very spacious, and bed was very comfortable. What I did not like was the unexpected $29.00 per day charge for parking our car. This should have been clearly stated at your website for this hotel. We would have stayed elsewhere where even though rooms may be more expensive, other […] hotels offer free parking. I do not appreciate these surprises after we arrive. The food at the Bistro was just ho-hum. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not Marriott's best effort."
Not very pleased with this stay. Showed up at 3:20 and had to wait an hour for my room to get cleaned. Called down for the valet to bring my car around and told it would be 10 mins. It took 30 mins and stood in lobby for 20 mins. Very poor performance.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"nice but not worth the $"
we stayed here in mid june this year. it was nice but there are nicer hotels with better locations. I stayed to get the reward pts. but would not do it again. the parking is a terrible situation. valet only, for $30 per night. the garage is 2 blocks away. their location is very tight. they're stuffed between other bldgs. and just checking in can be […] a chore because there's no room to pull your car in to the valets. the pool is hidden between tall bldgs. and only gets limited sun. the rooms are very comfortable and have fridges and micro.'s. staff were nice. the price is inflated compared to some other very nice hotels. "the mansion" hotel looked beautiful and cost less. I would ck that out 1st, next time. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"One Night Stay"
The down side was that I had to have the valet run 3 blocks to get my car or fetch my bags. The room was very spacious and neat. Great location; very close to the River Walk and the Alamo. Nice quiet and cool room in a muggy summer city. The front staff were very professional.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was expensive but the valet staff was great. The pool was very small. My kids who love to swim wouldn't even go in it. The cafe was good but no room service.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Courtyard is always consistent. 30.00 is high for valet parking at a courtyard .Genuine Hotels.com guest review
But not what I expected from a room that was $200+ a night! Complimentary breakfast would have been nice instead of spending $30 on breakfast for French toast, eggs, bacon and potatoes and two drinks. Love how it was right on the river walk though.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good for short stay"
hotel was good, but the service was not as expectedGenuine Expedia guest review
"Dry Slime, Dirty Sheets, and Homeless Man"
Figured I had made a mistake when I saw the homeless man sleeping on the church steps across the street when we checked in. Didn't want to valet park, so had to park in city garage a couple of blocks away and walk to hotel on street. There was dried slime on remote and headboard - mistake confirmed. Wife found broken fingernail between sheets - from […] last guest, or maid? Nothing close to hotel on riverwalk. Have to have key to enter hotel and use elevator because of area in town. Moved to another hotel for the second night. Would not recommend this hotel. Marriott Rivercenter and Marriott Riverwalk were same price for this particular weekend. "room too small"
The room was very small. There was no place to put the holder for the suitcase. I expected the room to be large enough to accomodate two people with luggage. The cost for parking was outragious.Genuine Expedia guest review
Was not thrilled with the value of the hotel based on the price. Also, the parking cost was outrageous. I would not recommend this hotel. There are many others in the area that seemed a better value.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was very nice but they should inform people about the parking price at on wed site.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"VERY SMALL ENTRANCE. NOT ENOUG PARKING UP FRONT"
ONLY THING I LIKE WERE THE BEDS. SUPER SUPER SOFT THIS WAS SO NICEGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Overall it was a great stay and a great hotel, but at night it was so hot we were sweating with the AC set on 60. The pool was not a pool, more like a large bathtub. The service was good and the beds were extremely comfortable. We were on the top floor(17th) and had an excellent view. I had a random unexplained $10 charge on my card the next day, it […] wasn't for parking, that was almost $30, but expected. I would stay there again, but I will probably try to find a hotel with a bigger pool next time. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Okay, place and close to the Riverwalk"
Our only problem was room keys that did not open the door and we had to call down for new ones. We had to replace one of those new ones because it did not work. I think hotels are overusing their reuse of cards and they don't maintain the new info. Otherwise, it was a pleasant stay. No parking garage; they only valet your car and you call for it up […] to 8 times a day. Expensive. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Too small for a family of five"
Although my family and I were there to see the Christmas lights and enjoy the ambience of the Riverwalk, the hotel room is just as important to us. For a family of five, I thought this room was too small. We had to have a roll-away called in which we did at 6 pm. The roll-away was still not in the room when we arrived back at 10 pm. In addition, the […] hotel has a lot of sports channels and not enough family friendly channels. However, the hotel was within walking distance of the Riverwalk which was good. The room was to noisy, besides the hotel was okGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Nice hotel, BUT the parking fee was 27$ per night...the location was good, and the pillows soft, BUT we had a cold draft blow through our second night....I think I will pass staying there another time.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Courtyard Marriot San Antonio"
First of all, the hotel is pretty hard to find downtown. The room was nice but felt little small and housekeeping didnt even clean our room after first night stay. All arround the location was good, the staff was ok, and the room was nice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Courtyard Marriott - Riverwalk San Antonio"
The pool was terribly small. Not big enough for two families. Picture is deceiving.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
""Not made for a party of 5""
This hotel can't accommodate a party of 5 adults.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel is not a bad place. The room was very nice but too much noise from people closing doors. They had a pool but you really can't call it a pool because it was so small. The other bad thing that they do not tell you is that there is NO on site parking so you have no choice but to pay for the hotel's valet service that costs $29.00 a dayGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel right on the riverwalk"
The hotel was very nice. We enjoyed our stay. The mattress's were pretty old or a cheap model and not very comfy to sleep on. The worst part of the stay was the valet. The valet drop off/pick up area was so small. It would only fit about 3-4 cars at a time. They didn't have enough people working in valet and would take a while to get the car. Also it […] cost $25 a day plus tips. Alot of money just to park a car. Other than the valet and the mattress's, the hotel was nice. Oh and the heater was broke on the pool, so my son was upset about that. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
