"All hype, what a disappointment!"
Checked in for what we thought was a king deluxe room only to be told they were sold out. They offered a hospitality suite, 2.5 times bigger room with a queen bed? We initially took it then realized it was a Murphy bed, after asking for a manager we were given a coveted "sold out" king deluxe room. The room was just large enough to squeeze the bed in. […] Not what I expected for what I paid. Got better service and accommodations for less many times before. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"the only thing you pay for is the name of hotel"
Horrible room for the price. $5 water bottles left in the room that they would "bill you for", after paying $200 for the room you would think the water would be complimentary. Guess not? The carpet by the window was ripping up from the floor. Our view was a mess of construction and an old beat down dennys across the way. Beautiful! Lower your prices […] guys, cause I think the Hilton has you beat! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"good hotel, terrible managment"
They never change the amenities in the room it seems that they are cuting costes with the guest, that was terrible every day the code of the key was changed, it is a huge hotel so you can imagine how happy we was to returned every day to the lobby. The answer always was we apologizes but always was the same. the valet parking was the worst, every […] day tooked more than half an hour to bring the car, but last day taked almust an hour to bring my car, i called before i leave my room, asked 5 times and at the end they discovered that nobody was searching my car, the answer again they apologizes, by the way it is not free!!! they charge 35 dlls at day. shame on them I will never return to this hotel and i will tell everybody to stay out of it Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Overcharge"
Hyatt has charged my credit card for $50 for parking for one day. Before checking out, i even asked them if i have any charges on my credit card and they said none. I saw charge of $50 for parking and that too without confirming me. I will not recommend this hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was a plain hotel room so I would say over priced especially the 25 dollar a night parking!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"THEY CHARGE FOR THINGS THAT SHOULD BE INCLUDED, WO"
Why paying a good hotel that will charge you for anything addtional that nowadays all the hotels give for free. They do not provide free parking so how are you supposed to get to the hotel? walking, paying 25 dollars for parkng is too much and if you want to park yourself you will only find a space in the very last fifht floor because all the firsts […] parking floors are reserved for valet parking which is 33 dollars by the way. They also charge for the internet which is ridiculous, internet is free in all the hotels and restaurants. Finally I asked for a crib for my baby and this thing never arrived, nobody call to say anything or apologize. If you want just to sleep in an expensive hotel choose this one, the only covenient thing was the proximity to the riverwalk. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Very Rude staff and insane pricing at restaurant!!"
This hotel would have been perfect except for the extremely unfriendly staff. My family and I stayed here for the 2012 Thanksgiving holiday to enjoy the sights of San Antonio as well as enjoy an upscale hotel. This hotel is pleasing to the eye and the rooms and beds are comfortable. The staff is completely unbearable. They were rude, unaccomidating […] and consistently gave us the wrong information. The hotel restaurant was a bit over the top. The hostess was rude and I believe price gouging would be a good way to explain the insane prices of food. My family and I actually went across the street to the Marriott Riverwalk for our Thanksgiving meal and every meal after that. I would not recommend this place to anyone!! "I will not ever stay here again."
We booked a room with a King size bed, when we checked in the staff said they were over booked and they gave us a two double bed room instead. They did nothing to make up for this except move us to a new room the next day. The Paking was awful, there were not any parking spots available and I had to park illegally. I got the impression that since I […] booked the room from Expedia and had already paid for the room they were not willing to help me in any way. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Dirty room with leftover biohazard"
We checked into this room with the intention of immediately going out on the riverwalk. Upon opening the door we saw a dirty room, stripped sheets, and used diabetic blood strips all over the place. I called down to the front desk and informed them that we were not happy with exposure to blood borne pathogens and wanted a clean room. We were upgraded […] to a nicer room, but my issue is the tremendous amount of wasted time involved. Sure, the room was nice, for the 8 hours we slept there. We went there to walk the riverwalk, not ogle some room. In the end, it just shows that it's about treating you like cattle and moving you through. If you can't tell, I won't be staying here again if I can help it. I would also like to mention that the management had a very unconcerned attitude towards the whole issue. "Horrible Experience - Booker Beware"
1st: My husband and I arrived to the hotel, checked in, went up to find a tiny room with two double beds. The problem with that was our reservation was for the mid-sized room with one king bed. I also indicated to the person I made the reservation with that it was our wedding anniversary that we were celebrating (it was even written as a note on the […] reservation). Not one special thing was done for us (most all hotels do something little). 2nd: This hotel did not give ANY military discounts 3rd: It took 1Hour to validate our parking!!! 4th: Hotel Bar & Restaraunts closed too early! We will NEVER return to this hotel. It was the worst experience ever & we travel out of town at least once every two months for weekend getaways. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Bumped for Overbooking"
The first night of my stay the hotel had overbooked for the night and I was put up in the Hyatt Regency several blocks away. Not convenient when I had booked the Grand Hyatt to be next to the convention center. Then they tried to be stingy with the cab vouchers to get back and forth from the other hotel. Sent me a pitiful fruit plate to my room when […] they got me into the Hyatt Regency the next night. Was too busy and it was a company paid trip, but had it been a personal trip would have made a big stink about it and requested resturant and/or spa vouchers or other comp. Not pleased. "San Antonio Disappointment"
We must take some personal responsibility in not researching enough that this was the right hotel for us. At Easter weekend this hotel was overflowing with families with young children....... always something we try to avoid. The most disappointing thing was that the hotel seemed unprepared for the influx. We were unable to get a table for breakfast […] on our second morning and the staff at the restaurant were completely overwhelmed, unprepared, and impolite in the handling of the situation. On our last morning we did not even attempt the restaurant but ordered in our room. The breakfast was on time and the food adequate. When we reported our concerns to the front desk, we cannot fault the attention and reaction of the staff. The cost our our room service breakfast, and the coffee shop one we purchased when we couldn't be accommodated in the restaurant, was immediately credited. On the whole, apart from the restaurant staff, the other personnel were well-trained. polite and attentive. The hotel is obviously not 3 star.............. the bedroom was adequate, the lobbies and corridors shabby, grimy and in need of an overhaul. The restaurant was pretty awful. It is outdated, unwelcoming, the chairs and tables well-worn and not fit for camp accommodation and the terrace over-run with birds which is an invitation to disease or food-poisoning. Please give the staff a hotel which reflects their training and abilities! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Not Impressed. Parking was $33.00 a night..!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice location, but overpriced!"
The hotel is well located just beside the convention center, the rooms are of good dimension and the personal was pleasant and helpful. The value is exclusively on the location though. They gauge you on everything else. They charge you for Internet, local calls, water, etc. and they charge their client more for parking than they do to the public! Every […] other convention I went to, the parking, Internet, local calls and breakfast was include in the price as a special for people going to the convention. The Hyatt charges you for all of it. Often I even got my bed turned and a chocolate on my pillow in some places! So if you don’t care about cost, or being taken for a ride, that’s the place to go. But if you look for value and decent price service, you should look elsewhere. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
