"For the Location - A good deal"
San Antonio can be expensive especially near the River Walk. This hotel is about 8 miles away and was a very clean hotel, grounds well maintained. "Xmas holiday visit"
Good stay for the price and convenience. We were in San Antonio for the holiday weekend so we only needed a place to rest and clean up, so the amenities were not as important. "Pizza delivery from HELL!!!!!"
I arrived at hotel room at noon and wasnt able to check in till about 2:30 it wasnt to inconvinient but we were tired. We loved the pool and the spa no problems there. Room was cold which i loved and the beds comfortable a plus. The only thing was the carpet smelled a bit but we payed not attention to it for the price i paid. Okay now for the worst […] experience of our lifes when we got back that night from fiesta texas it was late and we found a flyer under our door from chicago pizzeria i ordered pizza salads and wings, i should of know better but curiosity and the prices got the best of me. First off the delivery driver got lost gave me a call and was rude about it even yelled at my 12 yr old sister. I figured when she arrived i thought my order was going to be complete so i didnt bother to check it, when i got to my room i was missing the wings and the salad was all brown and soggy. I called back to the pizza place and the girl said shed call the driver and call me back, i received a call from what i thought was the manager and he said hed send me an order right away, an hour later nothing i called back to the number he had called me back from and he was just playing around saying he was sum detective guy and hung up on me. I called back the original number and told him what was going on and he started to yell at me getting very hostile. We ended up driving to the pizza place OMG! it was a shack of dirt out in the middle of the most ghetto part of san antonio. I was told i couldnt get my money back but that they would make me a fresh order. The place inside was disgusting literally mounds of dust on everything looked like it hadnt been cleaned in decades. While we waited for our order a guy came in selling items it was 2 am, i couldnt believe it, i was terrified for my life. walking in to the place was like a scene in a horror movie. The hotel staff were wonderful. They provided information to surrounding malls, etc. The Hotel was in bad need of repair. Security locks would not release the door after many tries. In general the only complaint I have was there was a VERY large family there that completely took over the pool ALL DAY. At first I was a bit peeved at the peculiar location which made it impossible to find on any GPS device... but once I got inside I discovered a lovely pool area and some down to earth guests to talk to. "Great value for decent amenities and location"
I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The location is right off of I-10 and 410, and about a 5 minute drive from downtown and to the airport. The staff was courteous and professional, checking me in quickly. I had two minor issues with my stay. The first issue was that my key card was only programmed for one day, so the next day I had to go to the front […] desk to have it reprogrammed. Again, they only programmed it for one day so again, I had to go down to the front desk the following day to get it fixed. The other problem was the 2nd day I was there, I had the "do not disturb" sign on my door, yet the cleaning lady came in anyway while I was still in bed. She said she "thought I had left" even though the sign was on the door. Isn't that the point??? Even if I had left for the day, if I do not want anyone in my room while I am gone, I would keep that sign up. But besides those problems, the price made up for all the other minor issues. "Finally, an organized continental breakfast"
The management at this hotel made a wise decision concerning their breakfast serving. Usually with hotel continental breakfasts, there is usually little room available - guests either leave to have breakfast elsewhere, eat standing up or eat outside on the porch. This hotel had a large eating area and a counter which allowed them to have staff prepare […] the waffles for guests. This method allowed for quicker serving time because there was someone who knew how to use the equipment, i.e. no stuck on batter, no burnt waffles, no batter poured over everything around the waffle iron. The management should be applauded for their decision to serve breakfast this way.
