"Never again"
Where should I begin...oh yes....RODENTS! While in the lounge/breakfast area one night, a mouse scurried around and disappeared under the cabinet where the food is served! Our room never seemed to cool off in the front part. The hotel does not have enough parking for all of its guests. "Family vacation"

"Slightly disappointed and slightly satisfied"
The day we were due to arrive, was called by hotel to say room we booked was no longer available. Not sure how that works since it was available when we booked it. Was changed to suite with one full size bed and a sofa bed....Really close quarters for a family of 4! Pool was pretty dirty. Hair balls and trash @ the bottom and the spa could have used […] a dose of chemicals to say the least. Location was pretty good as far as close to attractions go. However if you arrived back @ the hotel after 11 there wasn't any parking available due to an outside biker bar across the street. Overall I would give it 2 1/2 stars out of 5. 2 stars are for the very friendly housekeeper and 1/2 star for all other topics. I think next time we will stay elsewhere. This hotel was a great size for our family of 5. We were able to slide our door shut in the bedroom & separate it from the living space. The morning breakfast was more than adequate, filing, & money saving. We were also conveniently located close to the market & close to an artsy area known as "south town". About 1/2 mile walk from Market Square and within 1 mile of River Walk. Felt safe to walk even after dark although be aware of the birds between motel and Market Square (my husband got a surprise on the head). Good hot breakfast. Helpful staff. "Depends on the reason for your trip"
The hotel was ok. It is older but decently maintained. The room was big and mostly clean, but the carpet felt really dirty. If you are staying on a Friday or Saturday night, there is a bar across the street that plays music really loud until closing time. The music can be heard anywhere in the hotel. The parking lot was full of empty beer cans and bottles […] every morning we were there, so I wasn't very comfortable about the security of the parking lot. The weekday staff was very courteous and helpful, but the weekend staff acted like the guests were an inconvenience. The breakfast was good for what it was, but on the weekend it isn't kept stocked. Hotel is about 1-2 miles from riverwalk. Walking during the day is fine but once it gets dark, walking in the area is "shady". Otherwise hotel is very good. This hotel is close to the downtown market in San Antonio but need to walk about 2 blocks to get on the trolly to get you to the river-walk about 5 mins. "don't stay here thurs-sat unless you are a partier"
There is a bar behind the hotel that has a dj Thursday-Saturday every week that plays crazy loud music until all hours of the night. We stayed Saturday-Wednesday and we finally complained enough that the hotel called the cops. The hotel and service was good, but the air conditioner was not up to par. Close to downtown but in a not so great locality... Fiesta was going on during our stay so it was not quiet at all. The walls were not properly insulated so you can hear everything. Yes, Josh and I believe Leah was the young lady's name. They worked the front desk and they were very helpful the room was nice and we were close to the elevator and I thought we would have issues with noise. That was never a problem. Great place to stay! I had a problem with the cleanliness of the room. My blanket had stains on it that looked bad. The mirrors were not cleaned at eye level and below. "Good quick stay but bad service"
The hotel is situated close to the police station so we heard sirens all night long....other than that the hotel would have been great for the money except for the guy at the check in counter. He was past unfriendly - he was rude. When I called down after checking in I asked him for additional towels as we only had two for a party of 3. His response: […] Come and get them yourself. I'm the only one at the front desk. Later, before heading to the Riverwalk I asked him the best place to park (this place is NOT walking distance) and he told me where to park for free. I went into the garage he recommended and on leaving had to pay $14. I could have paid $5 across the street. But overall for a one night stop it was very good value for the money. If you want to pay as much as I paid, in my idea it is the best choice. My suit was clean and it was divided in two with two TV. The position was perfect for us it was near the main police station therefore we could walk even in the middle of the night and we could reach the river walk area in 15-20 minutes.
