From the pictures posted when viewing room and hotel; to actually pulling up, it was not at all what I viewed. The free complimentary breakfast was rationed out like they didn't want to feed us. "Hyatt prices but motel 6 accommodations"
The room was decent to sleep/stay in but needs a MAJOR updating.One a good note the beds were soft and the rooms had enough space to accommodate all 5 of us. The breakfast was was better then most compliantary breakfast that hotels offer and the staff (except cooks) was nice. It's right off the freeway. But honestly what I paid for I thought I would […] get sooooo much more. The pool and breakfast area is kind of small. Our TV volume did not work and the one elevator took 5 mins just to pick you up. "Good but not great"
Overall, it was a pretty good experience. The staff was great when we got there and was really friendly. The chef for breakfast was also nice and gave us some good suggestions on where to go around San Antonio. He also made really yummy pancakes! The room was a pretty decent size - we had a king sized bed that was really large with a lot of pillows. […] It wasn't the softest of beds though and my husband said he had a little trouble sleeping. It's not the best/safest neighborhood, but it's SUPER close to the Riverwalk - we got there within 10 mins. Only negatives: there was a fire station next door that went off a couple of times but surprisingly it wasn't that loud; also the t.v. had really bad reception (but you're not on vacation to watch t.v. so who cares...); shampoo/soap they give you is pretty terrible. We we highly impressed by the value we received for our money. The hot breakfast was unexpectedly excellent even though it was made ahead of time. "Need to practice better cleaning and safety"
The staff member was nice but not very user friendly. The room was average and could stand a make over. The worst part is the housekeeping was unacceptable. There was blood, fresh blood, on our sheets and blankets. The staff did nothing to accomodate us except apologize. I would tell the next patron either find a different hotel or strip the bed completely […] before laying down. "Good family focused hotel 5 minutes from downtown"
I stayed at the Antonian as part of a family vacation and was traveling with a family of five. The fact that we were all able to stay in the same room (there were three queen-sized beds), had ample space to move around, got breakfast in the morning, and easy directions to all of the area attractions was a huge plus. We were right off the interstate […] and it was an easy drive to everything we wanted to see. The only negative was the surrounding neighborhood - things were a little rough. However, we did not have any problems and were very pleased with our stay. If you are interested in a luxury hotel, this is not the one for you but if you are interested in a clean, comfortable, affordable room with easy access to major attractions, this is a good choice. A couple of the desk personnel were very friendly. We had a junior suite which was roomy and comfortable. One thing was why 6 people only got one roll of tp and we had to go ask for rags and a couple of towels. Room was good!! Hotel location was OK. easy off the highway. "Comfy and convenient"
We were overall satisfied with our stay, the rooms were huge! We were in a 3 queen suite and had plenty of room to not feel crowded, we had 1 toddler, 2 teens and 3 adults and were very happy with our stay. All of our encounters with the staff were pleasant. The breakfast was pretty good, all eggs and pancakes made to order. We are from a small town […] and felt a really "homy" atmosphere from the hotel. The hotel could use some updating or renovations like new paint or upgrading of carpets and lighting, all cosmetic that would help its presentation. The pool is a little small but served its purpose for our stay. There are a few restaurants and gas stations within the block radius. Everything was within a few minute driving distance, we were less than 10 minutes from the river walk, mall, zoo, and kiddie acres. We would definetly come back if we are ever in San Antonio again. "Aggravating"
Ok so my partner and I paid for three days two nights at the antonian inn... The cost was over priced for what the quality of the hotel was. I paid for a smoking room online the sign outside the door to the bedroom indeed said it was not a nonsmoking room. Come to find out the whole hotel is non smoking. Very unhappy about that for had I known this […] I would've never purchased a room here! Also online it stated a mini fridge in every room where's the one for room 305? The area past this hotel does not seem too pleasant although it is right off the freeway and minutes away from downtown/market square area.
