The languid San Antonio River and its famed River Walk connect many downtown attractions, including the Alamo Plaza and HemisFair Park. Built for the 1968 World’s Fair, HemisFair Park is the site of the 750-foot Tower of the Americas. Visitors, though, won’t forget the Alamo, site of the legendary 1836 battle between Mexican soldiers and Texan secessionists. Nearby, Mexican goods fill El Mercado.see all hotels in San Antonio
"Good value for money"
It is an older motel and does show it's age. The breakfast was cold cereal and pastries . Nothing hot except the coffee. Close to bus stop and walking distance to Alamo . Near river walk.Genuine Expedia guest review
Hidden Parking Fee of TEN bucks a day really cheesed me off; dunno if others do the same so be sure to ask when shopping around. Shower barely worked -- very low pressure & extremely noisy. Microwave sounded like it was in its death throes but adequately heated food. Refrigerator was great. AC was sufficient. LCD TV entertained the kids in between events. […] Free WiFi was very nice. Hotel staff was great with attempting to provide assistance, however unsuccessfully. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to sights but hidden parking fee"
The hotel is close to the riverwalk and price is good for location but the parking fee of 10.00 is not noted on the Hotels .com website didn't know about it until check-in. Breakfast is poor.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"In walking distance"
This hotel was in walking distance to pretty much everything so I as pleased with that. The downfall was that the hotel needs to be remodeled or give a make over because it looks outdated.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close to the Riverwalk but watchout for hidden fee"
We have stayed at this hotel several times and this time there was a parking fee of $20 that was never stated. It use to to free for guess.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Close to the Alamo and Riverwalk"
The hotel was ok kinda had a funny smell in my room, the girl that checked us in was extremely rude. If it wasn't walking distance to the Alamo/Riverwalk I would never stay here again. But since we plan on returning I would probaly stay here again because of the price.Genuine Expedia guest review
"convenient location but so-so"
the hotel is at a very good location near the riverwalk for that price. the room was average, not very clean, the bed matress was not in good condition. the complementary breakfast was a joke. parking was another 10$, unguarded.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location and price."
The location is very close to the Riverwalk and it was very inexpensive. IT was across the street from an abandoned building which made me a bit nervous. There was a smell when you walked into the room. The maid service was very good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Average hotel good location but maintenance so so"
average hotel. had to change to another "suite" as the bathroom door couldn't be opened after I closed it with some of my stuff already in there. Inconvenience was hardly recognized by the only office person on duty. she was not allowed to leave her place and couldn't reach anybody else. the suite I got had a broken shower......Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good deal for the Price"
You get what you pay for, so for $50 a night the hotel was OK, Clean, comfortable and air conditioner worked great!!Genuine Expedia guest review
Our mattresses were stained terribly, and the floors didn't look vacuumed when we arrived. While they did get us fresh towels each day, overall we weren't too impressed for the price we paid.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotels is near the alamo and the riverwalk, it takes a few minutes walk to reach them. The room was clean. The breakfast room is just in front of the reception desk in a too small room for the hotel. The breakfast is absolutely poor, there were just doughnuts and corn flakes to eat and coffee, tea and juice (they were off of orange juice for 2 days […] during my stay!!) to drink. "Little things were not taken care of."
The service was excellent. The carpet in the room seemed quite dirty, the inroom coffee was not replentished, the tissue box was almost empty, the toilet paper roll was almost empty when I first unsed the room, and all of the wash clothes were not replentished the second day. I would stay there again but would hope the room could have been better taken […] care of. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Decent price for downtown location"
Upon arrival, the night desk rep said that my credit card was declined a $32 charge with Expedia. I called Expedia and they had no record of such pending charge. I had already been billed in advance for the days reserved. The rep went ahead and checked us in and advised me to speak with the Manager. It was resolved quickly the next morning, which I […] owed nothing. The hotel was also going to charge a daily $10 rate for parking, fortunately I saved my itinerary with Expedia which stated "free parking." They honored it promptly. The only thing I was not pleased with was that the tub had some ink/dye stains, especially on the floor. The TV ocassionally switched to black and white, but that would be resolved by wiggling the wire in the back of it. Overall, the staff was nice. It was my initial encounter trying to check in, that I felt things were going to go downhill, but all issues were resolved promptly. It is reasonably priced and in close walking distance to the Riverwalk/Alamo. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Appropriate fee and good hotel"
Localization of the hotel is near of the downtown. Comfoft of the room is quite good according to its fee. Parking fee may exclude for guests who don"t hava car.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Get better pillows...please!"
The hotel it self was not that bad. The pillows were the size of a sofa cusion, and not good at all. We had to make a trip to the mall to purchase some. Front desk stated that they didnt have any extra.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"close to the riverwalk"
My brand new truck was hit at the hotel"s parking lot. Apparently there were no cameras. The beds were small not doubles as we asked.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The room was sufficient for what I paid. There was a $10 parking fee; I assume by the day, but I only stayed one day. We were withing walking distance of the riverwalk, but be prepared to do some "city walking". The rooms havent been updated in awhile and the fridge and the blow dryer did not seem to work. They are due an update but I would stay there […] again because of the price and the convenience. There was no road noise or ruckus and the beds were comfortable. "Great Location, but not so clean"
The location was great! 1 block from the Riverwalk, the Alamo, and the mall. The only thing I didnt like was that there was a beer bottle and bottle caps all over the room they gave me. When I called the front desk, they assured me the room was clean. I told her "I'm looking at the bottle right now" and she said "Well, it wasnt there when I assinged […] you the room" making it seem that I must have brought it with me. I have 2 small children and they get into everything, luckily I saw the bottle before my 5 year old did. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"A good place to stay if on a budget"
Not the cleanest bathrooms, but the room was fine and it's in a great location. You can walk to the Alamo/River Walk and the Mall.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was a very nice stay for the price and the location. Just didn't like the 1980 way they imprints your credit card with all of your information showing to hold for a deposit. Also be careful they don't tell you about the pay per day parking fee, so ask or make sure its included in the reservations.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The bed was very comfortable. The room was acceptable although it was not cleaned the last day of our visit. The continental breakfast left much to be desired.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convinence of walking to Riverwalk"
It was alright because we did not have to do alot of driving. We pretty much wall to the Riverwalk to eat, walk around, and go to some of the musemuses. The only thing wrong was that the rooms were to small and the keys to our rooms did not work and it was like midnight one of the times. The other time was at noon when it was really hot and we were […] all in one room until they fixed it. The manager was very rude and instead of sending the person to fix the door the next morning she send them about 3:00 in the morning when they had just fallen asleep. And she did not give no kind of credit and the ones that were appologizing were the people that do the cleaning. I do not think we will be staying as a family. Well, the hotel is basic but there's little minor things that make it Days Inn and not the Hyatt. The bathroom door didn't shut all the way, the shower ran top and bottom at the same time, a little older, a little more stained, you know, little nuisances. The staff were a little neglectful in their turnaround of the room but they apologized and as long […] as I went to the office to get more towels they were accomodating. The pool was clean and refreshing, the location superb, and the kids loved the breakfast. We'll stay again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"great location at least"
GOOD: this is a great location only a few minutes walk from the Alamo and the Riverwalk. Right off the high way and easy parking. Location was great. not good: It seemed like the hotel was run on a shoe string and just not prepared for 100% occupancy the weekend we were there. They ran out of cups, etc for breakfast one day. because its the cheapest […] place around, the clientel was iffy.......a parent didnt' want to take kid back to room, so let him "go" on the wall, parent let young kids run around at MIDNIGHT yelling......then whistled for them to come in when we complained (really). "So So Room ... but it's close to the Alamo!"
Helpful, friendly staff, but the carpet was filthy and the shower tile was disgusting. The beds and linens were okay, as was the pool. The price was good considering what other hotels this close to the Alamo, Rivercenter, and the Riverwalk were charging. It is literally 5 minutes to the back entrance to the Alamo.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We love the location of this hotel and the fact that it still has smoking rooms. It is clean and the staff friendly enough, however both days we were left with one wash cloth.. And on the day of check out, house keeping had already knocked on the door so we hung a do not disturb sign out when at 40 mins still before check out time, they banged on the […] door again even with the sign on the door. My husband was not happy about that at all. But over all it was a good stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great location, clean room, safe, worst breakfast"
This was a great place to stay and good value for the money. The clerk at the desk checked us in early which was a bonus as we got to store our luggage before touring the city. Parking was free and it's a 5 minute walk to the alamo. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. The light between the beds didn't work and we had trouble setting the clock. […] Room was quiet as well. My husband said he heard a train somewhere later in the night. The breakfast was awful.... either their OJ machine didn't work or it was watered down. Not much choice of pasteries and the ones we tried didn't taste that great. Would check other places first before staying here again. It was ok, just a few disappointments. Great location, walking distance to everything we needed to see. A very good value for the money. The motel was older but clean, it had a comfortable bed and good AC.The parking was free but we needed to stay a few more hours and they charged $10 extra.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Edge of bad neighborhood, but one block from Alamo"
Hotel is right off noisy freeway and on the edge of very bad neighborhood. Walking distance (about a block) to the Alamo and a Denny's for breakfast, since hotel had tiny area. TV remote didn't work. Ok pool, .Genuine Expedia guest review
"Stay was OK"
I stayed at the Days Inn Riverwalk for four days while attending a conference in San Antonio. Location was great; five minute walk to the convention center and the Alamo and Riverwalk. No problem with parking. Check in was efficient. The cleanliness of the room was OK; not great but not bad either. Didn't replace the toiletries adequately. I did find […] what I think was a live bed bug on the blanket. I did report this to the housekeeping staff requesting a complete change of linens including the top blanket which was done without any problem. Bathroom was clean. Carpet was old but OK. Continental breakfast was very basic. The only thing that irked me a bit was my request for a late check out due to a time conflict when my conference ended and the manager seemed annoyed saying: "everyone seems to want a late check out today; I can give you a half hour, that's all". Other than that, my stay went well. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Average room - Great location!"
Good for the money. The room is average...the location is great. It's only a block walk to the Rivercenter/Riverwalk. The only downside was the sink did not drain well and the carpet was humid/wet.Genuine Expedia guest review
The people were noisy. The beds were hard rock. And the the pillows felt like a cinder block.Genuine Expedia guest review
Close to where I wanted to be, and I knew it would not be much more than a place to rest. Friendly staff. Terrible parking, got my truck dinged, loud streets outside, railroad horns all night long. Clean though, and for what we paid, worthwhile. Reasonable breakfast in the lobby, nothing to complain about. Walking distance to conference center, Alamo, […] River walk, etc. Would go back only when low expectations are understood (me and my older son, but would not take my wife and daughters, too few stars for that), but would insist on being in the main building instead of the one across the street with very tight parking.
