"Rangers game"
We went to see the rangers and explore the riverwalk. Very close to Alamo dome.. Walking distance. About a block before riverwalk starts (from river center mall). Very clean. But take your own water. The location was great, it is centerally located. The bed was small. I thought I was getting a queen but I think it must have been a full size instead. The cooling system didn't function very well. My daughter and I stayed at this hotel for an event at the convention center. The hotel was very clean with an excellent location. Perfect location for Alamo Dome, River Walk, and Alamo. Our experience with the hotel was positive. Some areas of improvement would be larger facilities for breakfast diners. Many were having to stand to eat their breakfast. "Big city folks seem to have lost their humanity"
Overall an OK experience. Having to pay an additional $18.00 per day for parking at the hotel lot was a shock and took most of the "luster" off of a nice stay. Most of the staff were OK. Seems like only the cleaning and restaurant staff had the capability to extend a goodmorning greeting. Desk staff was stiff and stuffy except for one young latina girl […] who was cheerful, friendly and helpful, other than her they didn't seem too interested in the guests as people.....more like cattle to push through chutes. "Overall good stay"
Overall the stay was great. Location was perfect and ease of getting to and from were hotel was great. The only issue was having to deal with the parking in the Area. Given it is a hotel that is near Downtown, you pay money for being able to park in their parking area. I was there during the Rock N Roll Marathon and event though they said parking was […] for hotel guest only and I was paying almost 19 dollars a day to park my car, I found myself almost having to park in a lot several block from the hotel. There were several who had parked their car there during the hourly rate time of the day to leave over night leaving no spots for the hotel guest. Rather then verify if the vehicles were actually belonged to hotel guest they only stated the hotel was full. As I searched the parking area for a spot I found an entire row of hourly parked vehicles as well as a vehicle illegally parked across two spots. They did nothing about the situation and I was lucky to get a spot when a couple decided to leave the bar.Other then that I liked the hotel, just felt they could have done a better job in this particular situation. this hotel was across the street from the conference hotel and only two blocks from the convention center. Access to the riverwalk area was really easy and convenient. The location is great to walk on to the riverwalk, but the hotel is pretty blah. It's your standard road side la quinta, aka, not so nice. If you are looking for luxury go somewhere else, but if you just want a place to sleep and be down by the river this is good. Also the breakfast is actually pretty decent. This was a very good priced hotel to stay for my family with a baby and a pet. They do not have pet fees or deposits and free internet and breakfast which is great. "Terrible service and attitude."
We stayed for 2 nights. We didn't get maid service as far as cleaning our room or changing the sheets the second day. After calling the front desk to complain after a long day out, she had no solution or answer as to why our room wasn't clean. The next morning when I was getting ready to check out I called the front desk to see about getting a luggage […] rack, the front desk person said there were none available and she didn't know when any would be. I went down less than 10 minutes later and there were several in full view of the counter where I'd just called. I was extremely annoyed with the disregard and the fact that the front desk person was just overtly lazy. I will not stay here ever again and will not recommend this hotel to anyone either.
