I've never been in a place that looked so nasty. Firstly, the front desk people were not friendly. The building smelt very bad. When I arrived at the room I was even more surprised at the bad condition it was in. There was mold in the bathroom, the toilet was dirty and, there were stains on the linen. My stay was unexpected and last minute. My son was taking medical exam for entrance to the air force at ft. sam. His exam was posponed till the next day and I needed a room. I booked the room and paid for it all on my smart-phone. This made my life so much easier and the hotel and staff were great. Thank you.

the hotel looks nothing like the picture. I understand wanting to enhance a photo but I feel it is false advertisement when the hotel looks nothing like the photo. the photo makes the hotel exterior look modern when in reality it is dilapidated.

Overall, this wasn't a bad place to stay. but, it's not somewhere that you would be comfortable bringing your family or sending your friends. Having said that. My room was quiet and reasonable clean. I have never been as scared at a hotel as I was at this one, I wouldn't even walk to the lobby without my husband. The first level rooms have doors that go to the outside but the handles have been taken off so you can't use them, at least from the inside. No matter what time of day we pulled up to the hotel, there were always a lot of people just hanging […] out in the parking lot...I have NO idea what they were up to, they looked a little shadey to me. The interior, going from the lobby and to your room, was not very comforting. You have to walk down a hallway and then through a glass door, leaving you feeling very shut off from any help if something were to happen. The elevator was a wreck and I'm not sure how much longer it will be running; only one of the two were working. Although our room looked newly remodeled (unlike the rest of the hotel) it was very dirty. The bathroom (tub included) had hair all over the place and the carpet was so dirty my socks were brown after only wearing them from the rime I took my shower until I got dressed. I would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone, escecially any females traveling alone. I should note that the staff was very nice and helpful, they were the only good part to the place. One part of hotel is under reconstruction, idk if when we stayed the rooms we were in were already reconstructed. The rooms were like an average hotel room. The only downside was the room was supposed to be non smoking and it smelled like smoke. And parts were just crappy and the floors towards the lobby were usually wet from people coming in from the […] pool. the staff was really nice no problems at all. The outside of the building and towards the back it look a little crappy but there were nice cars outside it didn't look like the ghetto. It was fine, never saw anyone walking around or worried about the car. It is a cheap stay so if you are looking for budget hotel yes this is good but if you are a high maintenance person probably not. I would stay here again. Read more

The rooms are dirty and old even though they say the rooms are remodeled. All they did was paint the walls, refinish the sinks and change the shower heads. The beds were comfortable but the AC had to be pushed back in the hole and the hall ways had NO AC. Only one elevator working and they looked bad and were painted over with many scratches. The pool […] was clean but is in the front for the entire highway to see. The breakfast was stail and old. The coffee smelt like mold. I can keep going but I'll stop with this one statement. They knocked on my door before 9:00am on the second and third days and I asked them to return later. I originally booked at this hotel because I was trying to save money. Well we all have heard horror stories about "you get what you pay for", not the case at Budgetel. For the low cost I paid, I had low expectations of what was going to be my hotel experience. The staff at the hotel were very friendly. Any questions I had about the hotel or surrounding […] area, they answered right away. Once I got to my room, I was suprised, it was spacious and clean WITH NO BUGS!!! How awesome is that! I got a good nites rest with no interruptions. No loud hotel guest, no bad kids running wild. I rested very well on my bed and found it to be comfortable. The room had the same kind of amenities you can find at any other costly hostly (tv, desk table, chair, cushion chair, ect) The only negative I found is that no iron or ironing board came with room. Lucky for me I traveled with an iron and just used the bed to straighten my clothes. The hotel location was right off the hwy, so it was convenient to moving around. No cars appeared to had been vandilized so that was comforting. Overall I found my stay well worth the money and would return. Read more

Bad hotel experience. was given a room that was already occupied, fortunately no one was in when I entered. Fire Alarm when off at 3 AM in the morning with no explanation or apology. Hotel is dirty and the continetal breakfast is a joke. Walls are thin and many folks apparently use this a hotel as a place to party. STAY someplace else !

I had very a bad experience.1: Remote control not working, it didn't have batteries, they could not bring the batteries to my room so I had to go to the front desk that was far from my room. They gave me a new remote that to my surprise was not working. So I gave up on having to get up to change the channels. 2: At 3 am fire alarm went off, I tried […] to call to the front desk to know what was going on and nobody answered. To make things worse I got locked out of the room because I forgot my keys trying to scape the fire emergency that at the end was caused by a smoker. The hotel has a very nice entrance appearance. They are under some renovations but all in all it is a great hotel for the price and the people are great that work there. Remember this is a Budget Hotel, but it is a GOOD one

Immediately when entering the lobby we noticed that there was no air conditioning. It was very hot and humid in the lobby and all the corridors. There are signs stating that the hotel is being renovated, but it looks as though it has been in this "under construction" state for quite some time. When we arrived in our room, the bathroom toilet was filthy, […] the mirror had water spots on it, there was a wet washcloth and hair in the tub and hair on the supposedly clean towels. The bathroom had obviously not been cleaned since the last guest checked out. We left for dinner and notified the front desk of the issue. They said they would check on it, but when we returned from dinner, nothing had been done. The bathroom was still not clean! We also noticed a spot of blood on the bathroom door, the AC temperature control knob was broken off and there were burn holes in the sheet (in this non smoking hotel). The blanket was the stiffest I have ever felt, not soft at all. The free breakfast selection was decent (waffles, pastries, fruit, cereal, juice, coffee), but the toasters did not work and I was so disgusted from the filth and stench in our room that I wasn't really comfortable eating there. I'm okay with an older, less expensive hotel, IF it is clean. This hotel was NOT clean by any standards and made me especially uncomfortable having my 1 year old son with us. We cancelled our 2nd night reservation to find a new hotel. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone! Read more
