Was not happy with the means to adjust the temperature of my room and the spa/pool water looked off color. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The breakfast fair was much better than we expected for the typical hotel continental one. "Will Book Again"
Rooms were clean and comfortable. Free breakfast 7-10 am was better than usual donuts and sweet rolls. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable. Was joining friends camping at a near-by event. I consider myself to be "roughing it" when the hotel sheets are less than 600 count, so technically, I was roughing it. However, after 10-12 […] hours at an outdoor venue in 80+ heat, the hotel was a more-than-welcome respite. It was nearly fully booked, but quit. My room overlooked the car-lot next door so I'm glad I really didn't spend much time in the room. "Great place to stop while moving with a pet"
This hotel was surprisingly elegant and very clean. Usually when a hotel is pet friendly, there are issues associated with that. But the room was spotless, there were no bugs of any kind, and even our cat was comfortable there! We couldn't believe the size of the room, and it had a really nice view of the river and some trees. "Nearly perfect"
Almost everything was in good shape. The exception was an extremely slow-draining sink. There was no one available to fix it, and we were offered another room. But by then we'd unpacked and decided we could stick it out for one night. Brushing teeth and shaving was a bother. The bed was very comfortable, and chairs and counters adequate. It's so pleasant to walk around the channel, or to the park, with our "well-behaved" dogs at any time of day or night, right outside our door. My kids and I picked La Quinta because it had a pool. It was a nice, cozy place to stay, next to a nice park. The pool is open 24 hours, so the kids got in a late swim, which was fun. This is a great place for dogs. The park next door is amazing! The desk staff was helpful and pleasant. The housekeeping, though, left a lot to be desired. The hotel was convenient and clean. The lobby was being painted when I arrived, so there was plastic covering the floors & the fumes were a bit much during the day. The fumes subsided by night, however. Overall the hotel was good - nothing special - just a good, basic hotel.
