"Great place to stay for race day"

"Red Lion in Eugene"
Clean, comfortable rooms. 5 min drive to downtown Eugene. Friendly staff. Try to get a room on the bottom floor so you have easy access to the courtyard and the hot tub/pool area. If you're traveling with pets, I highly recommend the lower floor as well.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

I've never stayed at a Red Lion and really didn't know what to expect! From the outside it's a basic looking hotel setting. I was cheerfully created by Michelle at the front desk who very helpful and did a wonderful job checking me in! She was even nice enough to upgrade my room to a suite which was unexpected and very much appreciated. The room was […] a basic set up. Two Queen beds and a sitting room area. Very nice room. Clean, roomy with the necessary amenities. As another comment mentioned, and I should have mentioned at check in, it was noisy on the freeway side of the building. "Great Find"
I booked a night at the Red Lion as the other hotel (Valley River Inn) could not accommodate me for another night, as they were sold out. I wish that I had started out at the Red Lion. The room was cozy and more comfortably appointed than the VRI and the bed was super comfortable. I was sleep deprived from the horrible sleep I had at the 'other hotel, […] and was so thrilled to have this clean, comfy, and very reasonably priced room in which to recuperate. "A very pleasant stay"
We arrived at 2 am and were greated by a friendly staff member who got us quickly into our room which was extremely well appointed with a view of the very large pool and patio area.
