I was disappointed. I do not see why they call it a resort. The weather was bad and I know that's not the hotels fault but the balcony view of the bay that I paid extra for was ridiculous. The balcony was over a parking lot with the bay in the far distance. Not at all worth the extra fee. The room was small and dated. Hotel in nice location, they upgraded us to a jacuzzi in our room for free, but it was dirty :( The comforter smelled like moth balls and the curtains and bed skirt were very dirty.

I booked two cathedral rooms here based on the reviews and the low cost of this hotel. Pros: good size pool (although not as large as it appeared in the picture), breakfast was sufficient, large gameroom, low cost. Kids, kids, and more kids. They put us in a room right at top of stairs that led to arcade so screaming, running kids were all we heard. Even the adjoining room had children that were banging an our door and yelling and screaming. Beware lack of soundproofing, expecially if you are staying on the ground floor. You can hear people stomping around upstairs until they sleep or leave. But not nearly as bad as running race occuring both nights from one end of the flrist floor where I was staying - to the other - a long way. Can't imagine what summer is like when the place is teaming with people. Stayed there several weeks earlier in an upstairs room and everything was quiet. The hotel was OK service was good the continental breakfast was nice The room had a very strong musty almost moldy smell when you walked in. We kept the window open a few inches to offset the odor with fresh air. The wirless internet did not work.

I stayed on a Saturday night in mid-October. The majority of the crowd staying at th hotel were older, retired-aged couples. Not the loudest of groups by nature, but I clould still hear them laughing and talking through the walls. This is an older hotel property but renovated as much as one could expect. However, can't do much about the thin walls. The […] literature claims there is a beach. It's a sandy area created next to a marsh. It was still nice and the location provided a spectacular sunset. Overall, this is a nicely renovated motel, but you can't do but so much with an older motel building design. To call it a "resort" is a stretch. I've stayed at resorts and this is not a resort. The hotel is an older one that needs some serious updating. The room and other areas smell musty. We were dissappointed that the hotel is no where near the ocean or anything you would want to see or do! On the plus side they do give you a free breakfast that was good, if you don't mind making it yourself (waffles).

Overall pleasant stay however our room on the first floor had musty smell (which the hotel staff did place an ionizer in our room) and the only window faced the front parking lot and offered no privacy unless the blinds were completely closed because there is no sheer curtains. This maks the room very dark dreary.

The location was fine . The hotel staff was courtious. The room was a little small ,clean , and well kept but dated. Outside pool and pool / bar area is nice for a cocktail . Continental breakfast good.

I expected a bit more from a 3 star property. The hotel has nice indoor and outdoor pools; the breakfast selections are very nice. The evening fire is a nice touch. This is likely my fault for not reading more carefully, but when I read that the hotel has pools and a beach, it would somehow be by the ocean. Booked through hotels.com, easy and paying ahead made check-in a breeze. The staff (front desk and housekeeping) were gracious and accommodating. The rooms were average, clean and spacious but the beds were less than comfortable. Although it's called bayside there is limited views of the bay, mostly marsh you'll see but the "beach" area up to the marsh was relaxing for reading a book and not buggy. Parking was plentiful and a short walk to the entry doors. Location is good, easy to get around (via a vehicle) and town beaches were very close by. Overall it's clean, 2 pools, a relaxing area in the back, easy access. If you're at the Cape it's not to hang out at the hotel but if you do have to be there it's OK. Read more

The hotel was advertised to have a pub with food. The drinks were there but no food. If you wanted food you had to order it from the local pizza place and wait 45 minutes. The beach was simply sand on the lawn. The housekeeping was a joke! There was an old band-aid wrapped around the showerhead to keep it in place and hair in the drain. Good value. The rooms are a little dated but clean. Large bathroom with lots of room. The bed needed a pillow topper to make it more comfortable but it wasn't bad for the price.
