"Nice place to stay for a few nights"
Although it doesn't look large on the outside, once you in the building it seems to go on and on. Breakfast was adequate with a nice selection of the normal items at this type of facility. Two pools - one indoor and one outdoor made a nice option depending on the weather. At night they had a campfire going - a bit unusual , but a nice surprise.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel is well located on Hwy 28 in the western part of the Cape. It is at the inland end of a bay with salt marshes, so no waves or real sense of the ocean. The rooms were clean but dated. The mattress was very soft. Both my wife and I woke up with significant back aches from the lack of support. The pool was clean and enjoyable. The breakfast was […] very typical of free continental breakfasts at hotels across the country. I must say that after spending what we did for one night here, we spent half as much at a top notch, luxury hotel in Boston the next night. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

It was good overall but realized its bit expensive for the kind of hotel it is....overall is OK.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice Room, Need Better Fruit Selection"
The location was terrific. The room was great. The maid service was excellent. The breakfast area was crowded, noisy, and the fruit selection was poor (I ate an apple each morning..........I would have liked an occasional banana, melon, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries). Bacon and eggs and cranberry juice would have been appreciated. Also, […] the constant music at poolside was a distraction from relaxing and enjoying a good book. "Good location for getting to other spots"
It was a good spot to use as a launching pad for going to other places. It isn't really located itself in a spot that you would walk around and do things...and the rooms and building is 'ok'. It's expensive for what it is...but it is cheaper than other Cape hotels so I guess it makes sense.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Expected a little bit more for the price."
The rooms were out dated and smelled really old. My bed sheets had hair on them from the previous guess. Also the electricity went out for about an hour during my stay I was surprised when no back up generator kicked in. The location is okay but the traffic is horrible in that area. The rotaries near the hotels are like death traps. Also the pool and […] the hot tub seemed dirty. I been going to cape cod for the last five years. This was the first time I stayed at this place because I thought it would be nice for the kids however, I will never pick this place again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
the pool was delicious!! we thought we were booking a hotel that allowed us access to the beach...we were mislead, or we read the info incorrectly..on the main strip of 28 and near activities, restaurants, and shopping...hotel did not have an elevator and we had to lug our bags up the stairs...overall hotel was clean, staff accommodating....the lounge […] chairs faced a bay that was not suitable for swimming...hence the disappointment...but, it was nice to get away and vacation at the cape.. "Nice place but lacking in some amenities"
I would have rated it above-average, but it was lacking in some useful amenities such as on-site laundry facilities and a luggage hold room. Also, the TV image quality was less than optimal and there was no PPV or DVD player.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Modest accommodations and pleasant staff"
My wife and I stayed there 4 days. We had reserved a deluxe room with 2 Queen-sized beds. The room certainly did not match our expectations, but when I told the staff the next morning they remedied the problem right away with no excuses. They upgraded our room and sent up some wine with a note. I found the staff pleasant and helpful throughout our stay […] and the room was pleasant with its own balcony, but otherwise standard for a hotel. Some points to consider: the included breakfast featured do-it-yourself Belgian waffles with pre-measured cups of batter to make them easier to prepare. The rest of the fare was unremarkable with hot and cold cereals, cold hard-boiled eggs, fruit in a bowl, danish pastries, muffins and juices that all seemed to come from the local grocery store. There were no scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, etc. The offering was adequate, but not inviting. Besides the rather limited breakfast offering two other limitations were somewhat restricting to us. 1. The advertised free wireless never worked well enough long enough for us to use it effectively. I finally gave up on it and used my phone as a hotspot. 2. They alternately broadcast two movies to all the rooms from a DVD player in the lobby. The movies were free, but we had no access to movies otherwise. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Bathroom smelled weird"
The indoor pool was nice but the website made it seem like it was on the beach. The bathroom in our room had an unpleasant odor too. Plus, check out is promptly at 11AM...if you're tardy checking out, prepare to deal with rude staff!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Waste of Money"
The hotel interior is quite old, it's not worth of the money they sell it for. The worst breakfast I ever had.Genuine Expedia guest review
This was our First Wedding Anniversary weekend getaway trip, and our first time in Cape Cod. My husband pre-arranged for there to be champagne & rose petals on the bed for when we arrived, and it wasn't there. He spoke to the front desk before we left for dinner that night, and they fixed it for us and had it waiting for when we returned. The next […] day, we had the 'do not disturb' sign on our door until 10:00am when we left to sight-see. We went to breakfast and took the ferry to Martha's Vineyard - a wonderful experience, despite the crappy weather. When we returned to the hotel near 11:30pm that night, we stopped by the front desk to see if we could get a later check-out. They arranged for it to be an hour later, which was helpful to us. HOWEVER, when we got back to our room, it was completely unkempt. The bed wasn't made, the garbage not emptied, the bath towels not exchanged, etc. Being that this was the actual day of our anniversary, it was even more unacceptable that housekeeping did not clean our room. Since we were exhausted from sight-seeing all day, we decided to wait to talk to the front desk in the morning. The good thing about this hotel is the location - it's close to everything. The pools are nice enough, and the game room is fun. Overall, this stay was just ok. Based on the other reviews, I was really excited to stay here. We were disappointed - we felt like the forgotten guests here. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

I was disappointed. I do not see why they call it a resort. The weather was bad and I know that's not the hotels fault but the balcony view of the bay that I paid extra for was ridiculous. The balcony was over a parking lot with the bay in the far distance. Not at all worth the extra fee. The room was small and dated. The indoor pool and spa was nice. "Very Easy to find"
This hotel was worth the $$.. I had no issues.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
i stayed at the Bayside for this past weekend. The price was cheap, the reviews seemed decent, and it looked completely different than what it was. The hotel staff was extremely nice but the hotel itself was OLD. The hallways were purple? The carpet looked grungy and like I said just old. I booked a king size bed and to my surprise there was a hot tub […] in our room when we walked in... a couch would have worked better. ALSO they should probably tell people that (apparently it comes with every standard king room) because i know they have an expensive jacuzzi suite so kinda stupid. The king size bed and the hot tub took up basically the whole room. The bed was kind of comfortable I didnt sleep much. I also didnt go in the hot tub because it looked a little dingy and kind of freaked me out. My biggest issue was the bathroom. again with everything being old but there were cracks in the wall above the shower which was gross. It looked like the moisture was beginning to develop mold on the ceiling as well. Needless to say I wore my flip flops in the shower because Im a germ freak and looked a little dirty. The walls were paper thin you could hear everyone using their showers and it was quite loud, it woke me up once actually. I could hear the maids in the hallways talking on walky-talkies at 7 am, which prevented me sleeping, so much for a relaxing weekend. Wouldnt stay here again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Affordable, but dated decor and not so comfortable"
I booked two cathedral rooms here based on the reviews and the low cost of this hotel. Kids, kids, and more kids. They put us in a room right at top of stairs that led to arcade so screaming, running kids were all we heard. Even the adjoining room had children that were banging an our door and yelling and screaming. Since we were a childless couple thay should have put us in a room that was a little less populated part of hotel. "Depends on what you're looking for"
Beware lack of soundproofing, expecially if you are staying on the ground floor. You can hear people stomping around upstairs until they sleep or leave. But not nearly as bad as running race occuring both nights from one end of the flrist floor where I was staying - to the other - a long way. In fairless to the hotel, it was left unreported, but occur […] both nights and lasted until 10:00 pm one night, and 11:00 the second night. And this was in the fall. Can't imagine what summer is like when the place is teaming with people. Stayed there several weeks earlier in an upstairs room and everything was quiet. "still a 1960's motel bldg; nice but not a resort."
I stayed on a Saturday night in mid-October. The majority of the crowd staying at th hotel were older, retired-aged couples. Not the loudest of groups by nature, but I clould still hear them laughing and talking through the walls. This is an older hotel property but renovated as much as one could expect. However, can't do much about the thin walls. The […] literature claims there is a beach. It's a sandy area created next to a marsh. It was still nice and the location provided a spectacular sunset. Overall, this is a nicely renovated motel, but you can't do but so much with an older motel building design. To call it a "resort" is a stretch. I've stayed at resorts and this is not a resort. Quality of the property vs. the price .... overpriced, even at an Expedia deal rate. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

The hotel is an older one that needs some serious updating. The room and other areas smell musty. We had a nice view onto the bay. Unfortunately the room carpet odor was like smelly feet. The flooring definitely needs to be replaced even though the furniture looks outdated. Well maintained indoor pool and jacuzziGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Overall pleasant stay however our room on the first floor had musty smell (which the hotel staff did place an ionizer in our room) and the only window faced the front parking lot and offered no privacy unless the blinds were completely closed because there is no sheer curtains. "Reasonable family resort"
I expected a bit more from a 3 star property. The hotel has nice indoor and outdoor pools; the breakfast selections are very nice. The evening fire is a nice touch. This is likely my fault for not reading more carefully, but when I read that the hotel has pools and a beach, it would somehow be by the ocean. The beach overlooks the swamp (or the salt […] marsh to be PC); it really is just a small patch of sand with beach chairs. The rooms felt dated and cheap (Formica in the bathroom was cheap 15 years ago too); it was large, but otherwise little 3 star amenities (no room safe). "Middle of the road"
Booked through hotels.com, easy and paying ahead made check-in a breeze. The staff (front desk and housekeeping) were gracious and accommodating. The rooms were average, clean and spacious but the beds were less than comfortable. The pool area is nice but I didn't care for the hard plastic lounge chairs, sitting on them was ok but to lay down on your […] stomach was uncomfortable. Although it's called bayside there is limited views of the bay, mostly marsh you'll see but the "beach" area up to the marsh was relaxing for reading a book and not buggy. Parking was plentiful and a short walk to the entry doors. Location is good, easy to get around (via a vehicle) and town beaches were very close by. Overall it's clean, 2 pools, a relaxing area in the back, easy access. If you're at the Cape it's not to hang out at the hotel but if you do have to be there it's OK. The hotel was advertised to have a pub with food. The drinks were there but no food. If you wanted food you had to order it from the local pizza place and wait 45 minutes.
