"Smells old"

"Too hot!"
Our room 214 was extremely hot. It had no aircon control and window opened onto passage. Reception promised to cool it down but there was no improvement. Eventually I was told that our room was over the boiler and the temperature was always a problem. They offered to change our room as the hotel was not full. I wondered why this room is used at all! "Reasonably convenient, just OK."
Rooms are small but clean, very tight for 2 adults & luggage (1 case each). No lift, so carrying heavy bags up 3 floors of stairs was a big effort. Lucky we are fit or it would have been near impossible. The bathrooms are very tired and badly need an upgrade. Probably a bit expensive for what it was.
