"Good location but....."
Hotel needs maintenance like fix the curtains so it'll look good not messy, some major carpet cleaning or must change carpet (too old)! Terrible hotel. Customer service was terrible. Stood at the front desk for half an hour trying to check in. Sketchy people in the parking lot at all hours of the night. I have stayed at the Days Inn in Anchorage over 6 times. It is one of the only hotels in the area that allows pets. The front desk staff is overworked, but have always treated me fairly and tried to accomdate my requests. Since they are so busy I have found kindness goes a long way, since many customers are rude. The rooms have been clean, though the […] bed comfort can be hit or miss depending on the room. Love the close (walking) access to all the downtown attractions. They are basic accomodations, but that is what you pay for. I also like the off street parking behind the hotel. You can choose "indoor" rooms that are in the hotel, or there are a limted number of "outdoor" rooms that are in the courtyard and is more like a motel. We have found that smokers use these rooms (though the hotel IS non-smoking), so they can just step outside their room doors to smoke and not have to exit the building.
