The night front desk person was rude and not helpful at all, seemed too pre occupied with her iPhone to be of any help. While we were waiting I saw a man ask her if their Restaurant was open and she was rude and short with him.

The lobby smelled like cigarettes and disinfectant, the hallways smelled musty and dirty. Our room was so small we could barely move around the bed and our alley view afforded us loud, raucous all night entertainment from the iffy club just behind the hotel. Our bathroom was badly in need of renovation, typified by the randomly scalding water in the […] shower. The staff was friendly and the location was convenient, but there are other hotels in the area that I'm sure would be a better value. There were a preponderance of smokers and spitters surrounding the entrances day and night as well, which didn't add to the ambience. Find a different hotel and save yourself the grief. Read more

Terrible hotel. Customer service was terrible. Stood at the front desk for half an hour trying to check in. Sketchy people in the parking lot at all hours of the night. Water temperature in the shower is random. The bedding gave my girlfriend and I a rash. I recommend this hotel be taken off the website.

When we first pulled up there were about 5 what looked like homeless or very rough people standing in the courtyard area. We felt very unsafe going in and out of the hotel especially at night. When we entered the lady at the front desk was not friendly. The hallway smelled like poop and the walls were very thin and we could hear the people in the room […] next to us, that"s all I'll say about that. The water kept changing from hot to cold throughout the shower and when we rented $10.00 movie on the TV it would switch from color to black and white. We checked into this hotel around 9 pm. As we pulled in, the interior courtyard and parking lot was full of loiters smoking, drinking, and hanging out on the upper balconies with unsupervised children. As we made our way to our room, we were on edge with the 'clientele', the dirty carpets, and worn down facilities. Before 11:30 pm, two extremely loud […] domestic disturbances occurred in the courtyard/parking lot. Then the all-night parties started in other people's room...parties which the whole hotel could hear. Needless to say, this hotel, is dirty, run-down, and not a great environment to stay in (much less take off your shoes). DO NOT STAY HERE! Read more

This hotel stay was terrible. The bathroom door wouldn't lock. Our hotel door wouldn't lock. And when it did our hotel key kept deactivating. The wireless didn't work. And on top of that I was missing an item out of my room. Very disappointed in this stay.

This place is the pits. The bed was the worst I have ever slept on in a hotel. The bathroom was actually larger than the room itself. The parking leaves so much to be desired. I requested handicap parking as well as a room. What a waste of time that was. We came to the hotel and all 3.. THREE handicapped were taken, even tho one car did not have a placard. […] Parking 4 blocks away was not my idea of a pleasant stay. This pace has 130 room and courtyard parking for maybe 8 cars at most. WiFi was horrid, staff was rude. Well the lady that checked us in earlier in the day was nice. The younger kids working there could give a rats....well you get the idea. There were no bags for laundry, no directions to the ice machine. The ground floor machines ( vending ) were not working and you had to go to upper floors for anything you wanted. Tho smoking is not allowed, ppl were smoking at the front door and on balcony's outside their rooms. I thought Days Inn was a class act.. man not this one, I will spend the money it takes to have a decent room....I suppose tourists don't expect much from Days Inn here in Alaska... I do. Having just traveled to the lower 48, and staying at a Clarion in Alabama.. for half the price,...,there is no excuse for a place like this to be open to the public. NEVER again.. Dirty room (including dirty washcloth in bathroom). Hallways smelled of moth balls so bad it made your eyes water; no secure parking; people coming in and out of hotel who were not registered. Would not recommend to anybody. Stayed one night only and had to find a different place.

It was extremely disappointing. Dual security doors greeted you as did the unpleasant desk clerk who acted as if she was being bothered every minute you were at the front desk and I am not kidding here. I think I must have gotten panhandled 5 times in a few minutes just outside the front door. The Hotel, as I learned is a main stay for people coming […] from the rural areas for medical service. I believe I bumped into more intoxicated individuals in the small lobby in a few minutes than in a Vegas trip. A number of individuals were actually trapped between the entrance doors, for lack of a better reason, they were too stoned to figure out how to slide a room card through a card reader. When we arrived there were 3 drunk natives standing in the courtyard while another one was puking beside a vehicle. Next we get inside and there's drunk natives hanging around inside the hotel. Next the television remote didn't work and the locks on the windows were broken and someone had shoved a piece of broom handle into one, I'm guessing they were […] trying to fix it?
