Horseshoe Tunica Casino and Hotel

It is a nice hotel, but several things I didn't care for since I had a 2yr old with me. If you rented a playpen for 5 days, you could have bought one at Walmart instead. The nearest department/grocery store is 15 miles away which closes at 9pm, nearest 24hr is 30 miles away. The internet charge is expensive, you can buy a new PS 3 video game after 4 […] days of it. It is noisy late at night, not good for sleeping baby. Lastly, the TV was HDTV with cable hooked up. No HDMI for good quality picture. Myself and kids enjoyed the stay in our non-smoking deluxe room. the room service was great, comfy bed that made me sleep till noon! The bad thing was the bed, my husband did not get any rest, he said the bed was lumpy and hard. Housekeeping was great, the employees were all very nice...Horseshoe just needs to invest in new beds!

Even though there were severe weather and flooding the hotel was great. food is always good, we tried the Gold Strike buffet, please don't waste your money. We had a premium suite and it was very nice. Nice T.V in room and bathroom. Nice deep tub and bathrobes. We really got a lot for the price.

First, they put us in the farthest room from the elevator. We were there two nights. The second day as we finally reached our room, the door would not open. We found a housekeeping lady and she could not help us but let us use a telephone from the room she was cleaning. Finally talked to someone at the front desk . She said to come back to the front […] desk to fix this situation. I asked her if someone could come and let us in our (already paid) room as we wanted to rest for a while. Plus I did not want to make that 1/2 mile walk to the elevator again and then again to return later. No, she said. We have to come to the front desk. Our stay at the Horseshoe was very enjoyable. We loved the well-appointed rooms and the great rate. Buffet and snack bar are the usual casino fare. Parking was very convenient. Only complaint was the high dollar internet fee. In this day and age, wifi should be free.
