"Centrally located near mall and good restaurants"

"Fine for the price"
This hotel is in a sketchy neighborhood but close to the heart of downtown Asheville. The price is worth it if you don't plan on staying in the room very much. Room was clean enough but sink did not drain and the overall maintenance of the hotel was a little sub par. Great cheap hotel. I had one of the "Renovated" rooms with hardwood floors. Made the room feel larger and even cleaner. Bathroom was a little dated even if it was renovated it still needs some upgrades. Bed was very comfy even if you do sink to the middle by morning. The staff was professional, friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the full breakfast which was carried out well- good job. Would have liked a second easy chair for relaxing instead of desk and office chair. "Don't plan on staying again..."
The bed was so lumpy you felt like you were sleeping in a slump. The shower was so small you couldn't even stand in it or turn around without hitting the wall, handlebar, or being all up in the shower curtain. For a value priced motel, the hot breakfast bar was quite good. Service was friendly and good. The motel was showing its age. However, the room was clean.
