Located about 20 minutes northwest of Denver, Westminster once hosted the country’s largest apple and cherry orchards. Today, it boasts Waterworld, one of the nation’s largest water parks. That cool water will seem especially inviting after the annual Holy Cow Trail Stampede, a 10-k race 14 years running. The Westminster Mall offers the usual department stores plus 140 other shops.

Hotel was smaller than it appeared on the photos. It came across as a spa and health hotel but it was just about like any other hotel. I was a little grossed out to fine little black hairs covering the pillows, in the bed and in the shower. It looked like the bedding and room had not been cleaned from the person before me. They did come change the bedding. […] Many of the lamps in the room were difficult to turn on if at all. But the clock alarm would not turn off and it went off all night long. The only way I could unplug it was to move the King bed. Needless to say my stay was not very restful. Not sure if I would stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"I'd look elsewhere"
This Weston was clean and attractive. We ordered a Handicap room, but it only amounted to wide doors. Only one hand-hold in bathroom. They actually charge for wi-fi internet connection. Golly, this is 2012, that should be as common as a TV remote! I believe we could of stayed at a less pricey hotel and gotten Wi-Fi and a free breakfast. (their breakfast […] was $13 for a cold buffet, $18 for a hot breakfast). Staff was friendly, but.... Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"gret place, rude people"
Wonderful place to stay, the staff was a bit to rude and not very welcoming. So, if you want to stay in a great hotel with helpful and understanding staff, try other hotels in the area first.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good but not 5-star"
Polite, courteous staff. Line-ups at front desk. Good A/C despite 100+ degrees outside. Easy parking up-front for motorcycle. Comfortable beds. Quiet room. Fancy functional shower. Superficially clean room: sticky desk-top, perpetually dirty carpet, maid forgot small towels & wash cloths on second day. Waits for elevator.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great for adults but maybe not little guys"
We have a toddler and a preschool age boy. We were drawn to this hotel for a staycation over the July 4th holiday because of the pool and they offer smores on the patio for a before bed treat. The first day we went to the pool and it was freezing to the point our little ones didn't want to stay. Then the smores were not availible because the restaurant […] was under construction. They had told us they adressed the pool issue but the next day it was just as cold. We had paid for an extended checkout but cancelled the request and left early since the pool was a no go. Our room had some trash from the previous guest, nothing to bad just an empty soda bottle and a dirty side table. The view of the Flat Irons in Boulder was excellent though. They did not have all of the items we requested from the kids club even though items were listed in the room. All in all the hotel is very nice and the service/staff was amazing , if only all ammenities were as great as the staff. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Okay stay"
The hotel was pretty nice, but the rooms didnt seem very clean, there was hair on the bed, and the sheets didnt look very clean. I was disappointed because we paid a little extra for a montain view room, but our room wasn't facing the mountains. Also the room was at the very end of the hall, where the stairs where, and so it was really noisy with people […] slamming the doors. The hot tub was broken, and one of the couples we ran into said the hotel claimed they will fix it, but that it was already been a week when they said that. The location was great, and it had a very beautiful surrounding. Staff seemed really nice, and helpful execpt for the hot tub. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Et tu,Westin?"
I favor clean, practical lodging at a fair price, but I decided to treat myself and my wife to something special this time. I expected the Westin to distinguish itself from say, a well-run Best Western, but I was underwhelmed. The 2nd floor pool and gym are nice and the lobby makes a positive impression, but for a Westin I expected that little extra […] something. Specifics? Coffee grounds spilled on the sidewalk leading from the hotel to the parking lot remained for all four days of our stay; wedding cake smeared along the same sidewalk; a landscaping sprinkler looked like it had exploded since the 24" spring was in plain view. The room was clean, but surprisingly dusty. The TV reception was nearly unwatchable in some channels; no mini-fridge or microwave. None of these issues would normally keep me from staying here again, but the deal breaker for me is the $12 dollar charge for 24 hours access to the internet. I was in town to research new homes as we’re considering moving to CO, so I really needed the internet. $24 later, I felt like a chump for paying what every other “lower-class” hotel usually provides for free (Wi-Fi). Your iPhone can’t access the internet either even if you’ve paid for access via your laptop! Bottom line: Hotel employees were nice, great location, plenty of restaurants within walking distance, but expensive internet access will keep me from staying here again as there are other hotels in the area that don’t nickel and dime you. "Not bad"
I wouldn't rave about this Westin. I called ahead to change my room from a king to a double and was told I'd have to wait until check in. When I checked in @ 3pm (I was throwing a party nearby) I said I had a pkg delivered there & asked to have it delivered to my room by 5:30. By 5:20, I heard nothing so I called the service # and they did deliver it […] within 10 minutes. I ordered room service, Cobb Salad, and asked go no avocado but it arrived with a plate full of lettuce, a little bit of egg/chicken/cheese//bacon/tomato, and avocado. Not worth the $20 for sure ... Like I said, I wouldn't rave, but I've seen worse, and it isn't the Westin Denver after all. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A stay is worth a thousand words."
Stopper in bathroom wasn't working, 1 of 2 lights in the bathroom was burned out, the showerheed leaked at the connection, and that was only in the room. At the pool, in the Mens locker room, the sauna was broken, both valves for both showers were broken and left users without hot water. By the way, the apples they left in the lobby weren't ripe yet […] and not eatable. It wasn't what I would expect from this type of hotel. Don't let the pictures fool ya. It was a nice hotel - location is awesome! My complaint is the hot tub is extremely small and wasn't working while we were there. We called the front desk and said they would send someone to look. We waited for 15 mins and no one showed up. We ended up not using it.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Missing Amenities at the Westin"
We are not accustomed to staying at 4 star hotels. We were surprised at the lack of amenities for the price of the rooms. The parking situation is ridiculous. Unless you want to pay for valet parking, you must park across a street. It is dangerous and very inconvenient. We needed a luggage cart when leaving, but they would not let us use it ourselves. […] We felt like this was another expense, as a tip is expected. Internet service was very expensive and there was even a charge to use it in the lobby. The hotel location is not ideal if you are traveling with children. It's a lovely hotel, but we certainly did not get our moneys worth. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Westin Westminster"
Beautiful hotel, good location. A lot of amenities. Bed linens made of unusual material, felt like a rubber sheet. Difficulty controlling room temperature. Extremely warm even with thermostat turned all the way down. Staff was friendly and helpful. Higher floors restricted to preferred guests, which is frustrating.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Very pretty hotel, enjoyed the stay. However I wasn't impressed with the maid service or the fire drill in AM. But other than that, this was a very beautiful hotel and the staff was helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel...don't try the hottub in cold weather"
Overall, hotel and room were very nice. However, there are a few complaints with my visit. First, the cleaning staff knocked on the door everyday at 8:00 am. They should have known our check-out date and not disturbed us that early. Second, there is very little parking at the front/side of the hotel. There is more parking in the rear, but if they are […] have an event and it is full, you are forced to use valet at $20 per night. Third, they closed the outdoor hot tub around 8:00 pm on a Sunday night (even though the sign at the pool said they were open till midnight). I complained to the manager who explained it was closed because it was a freeze alert and they had liability issues. I've been to multiple resorts in mountain resort areas and this was never an issue (it actually was a selling point). Very disappointing... Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Expected more..."
Went for family getaway and immediately had to request a room change because the room smelled so badly of smoke. The outdoor hot tub was closed the first night because it needed chemicals. Only after our request and several others from other guests the next day, did they finally send someone to add the chemicals. The suana wasn't working in the locker […] rooms either. This is definitely not what i've come to expect from Westin Hotels. Seemed more like the Holiday Inn. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"The Westin"
The hotel is OK but getting a tad worn in terms of service and condition. The closet wouldn't close, lampshade kept falling off, etc. The lobby is beautiful and surrounding area convenient. I would expect more from this type of hotel. I's try a new hotel or different brand than Sheridan next time.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Open the darn hot-tub!"
My wife and I have stayed there twice now, and both mornings the hot tub was closed for one reason or another. No towels were out for the pool, and the staff didn't seem interested in even try to get things open and ready. It seems that they just want you to hurry up and leave in the mornings, rather than enjoying the amendities that should be included […] with this supposed 4-star hotel. "Great except for a small fly problem"
Beautiful hotel but had a slight problem with flies in the room. Woke up to the sound of buzzing on the window sill. Stayed on the 19th floor so was not due to an open window.... was pretty disgusting. Besides that, everything else was satisfactory.Genuine Expedia guest review
"The Westin in Westminister, Colorado"
Upon arrival the first night was good, the next night we had to notify the front desk at 6:30 pm that housekeeping never took care of the room and that we needed fresh towels. Also, during our entire stay the air conditioner was not working probably. Notified the front desk, they said they fixed the problem but the room still would not cool down. After getting off to a really bad start ( alarm going off in the adjoining room at an ungodly hour, no soap in the shower, a bridal party on our floor, the pool closed for repairs, the water cooler not working in the exercise room) The front desk staff made every effort to make things better even changed our room. "EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED"
Pool was so dirty I could literally only see maybe 1' under water with goggles on and I stepped on glass in the pool. "The Westin Westminster"
We were expecting something more lavish(more Las Vegas style) considering it is a 4 star hotel, we were disappointed. And not to mention the swimming pool was closed and Hot tub was closed 80% of the time. Not too kid friendly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not what you'd expect..."
On top of your already paid in full room rate, when you check in there's a per day "fee" you're charged for valet, water bottles in your room, internet access, & local calls. You pay this whether you want or need these services or not. There were no vending machines or any amenities for food or beverages other than the expensive room service or hotel […] restaurant. ($22 for blueberry pancakes!) Not even any complimentary coffee. People weren't very informative about the anything when you check in except you'll be charged the daily "fee" so use the valet service and the water in your room because you're being charged for it. There was no hotel information guide in the room either. A lot of "Westin" hype without backing it up. Not a typical Westin experience. If you're wealthy and money is no object-enjoy! Everything was extra!!!! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel, but room smelled like urine!"
The hotel and amenities were very nice. It has very nice atmosphere, but I was SO disappointed that our room smelled like urine. I am guessing we were given a room that previously had a pet in it, as they allow pets on the premises. We had other plans in the area, so we didn't switch rooms, but I wanted to. "Great for Hockey Families"
Located within walking distance of 3 ice rinks, multiple restaurants and movie theaters - so if you're at a hockey tournament in Westminster, it's perfectly situated.
