"Good place to stay, but under construction"
Stayed here overnight as I was passing through on my way out West. Clean, comfortable with a friendly staff. Note that an exercise room is under construction, but pool is open. Good location and as cheap as you'll get in the area....but if you like to sleep in or relax at the pool, spend more somewhere else! "Good value"
We stayed here for one night while traveling through Nashville. The location of the hotel is fine but not within walking distance to downtown. The hotel rooms have exterior entrances which could be an issue for some. The room was older and small but clean and comfortable. There is a college bar across the street which was quite busy the night we were […] there. You could not hear the noise from the hotel but it gave my 23 year old son someplace to go within walking distance. When we arrived at 11 pm, there was a security guard stationed in front of the hotel. Hotel is undergoing major renovations, and that may cause the price to spike because it is at a great location. Parking can be a challenge with lot size, construction going on, and people parking trailers. Room was not cleaned when we were out during the day, probably because we slept in. First, the hotel is under serious construction - did not know this when booked.The construction was a mess and extremly load. You couldn't even really swim because the contrustion was in front of hotel. Second, I was checked into a room that had a seriously stopped up toliet which was not a pretty site. I was put in another room after I demanded however, […] the mgmt staff thought it wouldn't bee a problem and thought I would just stay there while it was fixed. Convenient and affordable but not very accommodating. Had an unplanned overnight stay at hospital and they would not cancel the one night because it was 4:00 when we called. This is a great location as it is just a short drive to the main tourist attractions. There are plenty of food places within walking distance as well. The rooms are cramped in my opinion. "Rude, Dirty, Cold Water"
Staff was rude, room was marginally clean, my comforter had smoke burns in it, the shower was luke warm and the tub did not drain!! Dryer worked for a minute then in took me 10 minutes to figure out how to pop the breaker to get it to work again. "Horrible stay!"

"Clean, centrally located hotel for a weekend away!"
We arrived late due to some traveling issues. The hotel is under construction so the parking lot is a little chaotic, but there was still ample parking. The hotel staff were incredibly nice, and very helpful. The room was older but everything was clean and didn't have that "old hotel" smell to it. We stayed here for two nights, friday and Saturday. […] On Friday, it was a bit loud, outside, but only for a few minutes, right after the bars closed. The hotel is a $7 cab ride up to midtown, and the same for downtown. It is also right across from some restaurants, which was convenient the night we arrived. It is right off the interstate and it was a great, cheaper alternative to staying right down town. Hotel was not bad as some of the other reviews would have suggested. The hotel is currently under renovation and the room in which we were placed had clearly been updated. The area was not bad and I did not feel unsafe. There was good lighting although the lobby has a plywood tunnel that you have to walk through at the time that we were there. $5 cab […] ride to Broadway to go listen to the bands. Take a cab to downtown bars. Very easy to hail one from the sidewalk in front of the hotel. (The desk clerk said she would call one for us although it took over 40 mins waiting before we decided to hail one ourselves.) Don't take your car downtown. They charge $20 for parkingseveral blocks away. Close to the action and you will pay $10 per hr through the week AND on the weekends. Overall, the hotel was much better and closer than expected. "construction ruined the stay"
we stayed there last year and had a good time. the hotel is centrally located to down town with a good taxi service. "You get what you pay for"
Old hotel, cheap rate, construction starts at 6 am. Do not plan on sleeping in, construction on the hotel and on the surrounding lots starts early. I asked to be placed on the opposite side of the hotel when we checked in, but was told it was full. I checked out at 7 am when I wanted to sleep off the night before.
