Classic American cuisine is served for all three meals at the Parkside Grille, while live entertainment and snacks are featured at Bernie's Lounge. The pictures on their website are very deceiving. I'm sure at one point this was a very nice hotel. However, it is actually pretty run down. The hotel was convenient to all venues. The people at the front desk were very helpful and personable. The restaurant had very good food, reasonably priced, and the waiters were all very friendly. "Won't be back"
It was not a good experience for us. When we checked in, they were still cleaning the room, and by that I mean shampooing the carpets. They left us in that room with a musty smell and wet carpets. We ordered room service and had to send our steaks back. We ordered Med Rare, they came well done the 1st time, and Medium the second time, but at that point […] we just ate them. The vegetables were raw and the mashed potatoes were inedible. The phones in our room weren't working, so I kept having to use my cell phone to call room service/front desk and no maintenance person was there to fix them. The bathroom was dingy and dirty, there was a spider web under the sink. The pool was equally as dirty. The only good thing I will say is that the front desk staff was nice, and my son really enjoyed having a pet fish for a night. However, we will not stay here again. "The Preston, Nashville, TN"
We stayed 2 nights, upon arrival we could not get into our room until 3 pm. The front desk staff was very friendly and gave us brochures to find our way around downtown until we were able to get into our room. "Family Oriented"

"Great hotel but small beds..."
This was a very nice hotel but the beds were smaller than a full size. My husband and I have a queen at home and this seemed to be about 4 inches less on the sides (not the bottom). I liked that they accept pets for a small fee! I would have never guessed the room was for pets-Very clean! "Don't Stay Here"
This hotel has turned into a night club type facility. The decor was very dark and drab. We were kept awake till 1:00 am by the noise from the ice machine and coke machine outside our room being used. Patrons from the night club down stairs coming to there rooms at all times of the night making noise also kept us awake. Sound attenuation from the hall […] ways to the rooms needs improvement. Also, the noise from the airport runway directly across the interstate was terrible. If you are looking for a night club and a place to crash afterwards this is the place. "Conflicted"

"Service very lacking"
We had stayed at a Drury the night before in Columbus Ohio and had one of the best experiences ever at a hotel. I would never recommend the Preston in Nashville. We arrived and the toilet was filthy. They came quickly to clean it but never appologized and just walked out without asking if there was annything else. I went to the gym and there were no […] towels or glasses at the watercooler. Overheard word by word converstion through vent in bathroom. Not a big deal for me, but rooms not very soundproof. Comfortable stay, though, and friendly staff.
