"Great prices and close in proximity"
It's very close to Opryland and they provide a shuttle to both Opryland and the Airport. It's $10 for the entire stay and I believe that price covers all individuals in the room (ie 2 people would be $5 per person). The room was clean the staff were very professional. Breakfast was a super plus for us. Our room was comfortable and easy access to elevator. Hotel was pretty close to everything and what wasn't close the interstate was right there. "Best Hotel in Town!"
From the time we arrived, until our departure, the Fairfield Inn staff could not have been more courteous and professional. Our room was clean and updated,TV and free internet worked great, breakfast was completely stocked constantly. We never heard a sound at night- yet in the mornings when everyone showed up for breakfast it was amazing how many families […] and especially how many children were there. The air conditioning worked great. Breakfast included Jimmy Dean Sausage Biscuits and Jimmy Dean Bacon, egg and cheese biscuits, yogurt (including reduced fat!) fruit cups of grapefruit and fruit cocktail and "Superfruit." Orange Juice, Apple Juice, all kinds of breads, sweet muffins and English muffins and bagels- butter, peanut butter, cream cheese, jelly, honey, cereals (hot and cold) personal cartons of milk... coffee, with all kinds of creamers... the list goes on and on. It is conveniently located just across the street from the "Opry" and just a couple of minutes from Opry Mills Outlet Mall. Well lit parking is ample at the hotel. Great gym with TV's on exercise equipment, super clean indoor pool... Not sure what else you could need. The only drawback (which will certainly not keep me from staying here again and again) would be the drive distance downtown which is 10-15 minutes.. I'll take the Fairfield Inn location- and RATE, which is about half what we would have paid for the room PLUS amenities at a downtown hotel. Was sad to leave when it was time to head home! The rooms seemed a little worn but they tried to disguise that with the decor and bedding. We had a minor water issue from the rain coming in through the air conditioner in the room above us (poured down the wall into our window area). This is not a hotel where one would want to spend an extended amount of time. We stayed one night on our way out of town and it was just fine. It was clean and we did not get bed bugs. We were looking for a place to stay in Nashville for a couple nights that wasn't super expensive. The price was right for this place and it looked to be in a convenient location for the downtown stuff we were going to be doing in nashville. When we got there the woman at the front desk was extremely friendly...as a matter of fact, each time i encountered […] someone at the front desk they were very pleasant. The room was clean & comfy, the pool was huge, the free breakfast was actual BREAKFAST (not the couple stale bagels & toast and bitter coffee that some hotels have started putting out under the guise of "continental breakfast") it took about 7 minutes to get to downtown nashville (by car) but opryland is literally right across the street. Choice of colors and furniture left a bad taste for us! HIGH back, Navy heavy chairs at breakfast area were terrible.They cut off space, and difficult to get around tables seats etc. Not a welcoming area. Tiny lobby, with 'orange' chairs, worn, pillows folded floppy like in someones old living room, well worn! The fitted sheet on our bed keep popping […] off during the night. We'd find ourselves laying directly on the mattress !! Told front desk 1st morning. They'd report it to housekeeping. Subsequent nights, the top corners of the sheet keep popping off. This was worse than the bottom corners coming off! On our arrival,July 1st, Noon, the young lady was wonderful! She couldn't have been more professional and helpful. Other staff were not nearly as good! Whoever sold this hotel the 'bill of goods' in decorating with the green-orange- and dark blue, should give up on decorating!! Nothing made a 'customer' feel relaxed, invited or calm with these colors-everywhere-. Lastly: we are asked to 'go green' re. sheets & towels. Great idea. WHY then, are we continuing to use styrofoam dishes, cups, plates, and plastic ware??? TALK about adding to the waste stream?? Really not acceptable to us. The hotel and my room was great especially the bed but the only issue that I had was that there was not a refrigerator. For those guest that maybe staying for a longer period of time, it would be beneficial to have a refrigerator in the room for coldrinks and such.
