Good location, not far from Nashville downtown. And that was it about this motel. First of all hotel service is very unpleasant and some of them (reception desk!) barely speak english. They always disappear so there is no one to ask question. If you think that there will be anyone to greet you and say "hi" - forget about it. Room I stayed in was in […] very bad condition. Especially bathroom was dirty and bathtub looked like no one has cleaned it for years. TV was like from Marilyn Monroe movies era. I asked for late check out (1 hour) and my request was accepted but the following day maids were knocking to my room every 10minutes and i was getting calls from front desk. Come on. I do not know who runs this place but is doing it wrong. I stayed there 1 night and ran away. I definitely do not recommend. Find something else. There were many hotels in the surrounding area. The staff was frienfly and location was ok. It is several miles to either downtown or opryland area. Hotel was old and worn. Matress was uncomfortable and room was furnes with old worn out furniture. In Nashville - Place was in poor repair, carpets were stained, place stinks, free breakfast had very limited choices. Only white bread, no bagels or muffins, I went in just after 6am and there was only one of each yogurt type, strawberry, blueberry and peach. Only apples no bananas, or oranges. We had an infant with us and requested a refrigerator in our room, upon arrival front desk informed us that "some rooms have them and some don't, you have a room that doesn't have one". "Disappointed"
Rates low, but have stayed @ other hotels w/ this rate w/ much better experience! Upon our arrival, toilet seat hadn't been cleaned, reported alarm clock broken but was not replaced, phone was unplugged and placed up high on cabinet because it didn't work so had to request new phone which was later replaced; The toilet stopped up & finally repaired […] after our 4th request; had to request more than once to have a trash can emptied (only 1 provided); Prior to stay, we requested microwave & refrigerator and told we'd have them, but wasn't in room so had to ask for them again; had to request towels; @ 8 a.m. no coffee, juice, & very little to eat, so ate at restaurant next door...but next day...made sure to get hotel b'fast. @ 6 am! Most appreciative, however, of hotel clerk's assistance in getting internet service on our computer. Pool nice size, but we had to remove twigs/leaves. Hotel is in dier need of renovation. Carpets may be vacuumed daily, but are in desperate need of cleaning or replacement. Matresses were extremely uncomfortable, shower had a continuos leak from the hot water which made the bathroom and hallway very muggy and musty. I paid addtion for breakfast to be included with the room but there was really nothing worth eating for me and ended up every morning going over to the mcdonalds for breakfast. The people at the desk were ill-informed as how to handle a hotel.com bookings. when we asked to split our bill, for instance, they quite tersely told us we had to take it up with hotels.com. i was also put off by the overall lack of care taken. the floor was dirty, and the rooms are in desperate need of a style update, not to mention a carpet cleaning. When we arrived at Super 8 everything was good. We got our key right away for the room with no problems and our room was very easy to get to. The hotel is located right off of I-65 so it is very convenient but the neighborhood as you drive into town isn't very nice. Bars on windows and just looks like a ghetto. The toilet ran continuously not working, the smell in the room and hallway was terrible. The hotel was loud after 11:00 pm and the "free" breakfast had coffee only. I would not recommend this Hotel. "Cheap but not a great place."
I wasn't expecting much as the reviews i read were bad and i was trying to find something cheap and in that location. It was an easy location in and out of the city, and it was cheap, but the hotel was pretty run down. We asked for a non-smoking room, and the floor we were on had no-smoking signs on every door and yet the hallway was really smokey. […] Luckily the room didn't seem to be, but every time we went up and down the hallway it was like walking through a cloud. Elevator was scarey, and carpet too. The area wasn't too bad right where the hotel was, but right up the road wasn't so great. Tho our vehicle seemed safe in the lot and we had a lot in it. Two star for a reason, and that may be generous. AC not on when arrived at room although reservations were made well in advance. Not a problem for spring and fall but for end of July this was not pleasant as it took several hours for the room to cool. Had problem getting key card working due to door handle being loose requiring specific instructions […] on how to hold it while swiping the key. TV remote was not programmed for the TV in the room. Bathtub had a pull-up bar missing exposing two holes that allowed shower water to enter between bathtub and wall. Well it wasn't that close to downtown Nashville actually. It cost us 20$ cab ride to get to the city. And the room was so clold on Sunday it was crazy!
