The only real issue is that their happy hour really lacks much in the way of traditional happy hour fare, cheese, crackers, nuts, wings and the like instead of mac-and-cheese would be great. "Drury Inn at the Nashville Airport"
I was pleasantly surprised that even though this was billed as an "Airport Location" I barely heard any planes, Not complaining at all on that! The staff and manager were nice and available at all times. During the evening QuikStart the manager walked around and spoke to every guest that was present and made sure to make the rounds throughout the entire […] time. The variety of food was tasty and such a nice treat for both dinner and breakfast! Even with all of the eateries available (many within walking distance) I chose not to leave the hotel due to the taste and pleasantries of the staff. This was the second Drury Inn I've stated at recently ~ the other was in St. Louis, MO. They were different in some ways in the lobby and the pool / rec room but other than that ~ the quality, friendliness and cleanliness was the same ~ superior to many places I've stayed. I loved it! The staff were nice the people were so friendly. I really loved the 5 p.m. free food and drinks. "Drury Inn at the Nashville Airport"
I chose this hotel based on the customer reviews, and I must say that I agree with their generally high ratings. The hotel is very clean and in good repair. They are in the process of remodeling all the guest rooms. The top floor was finished, and I was given one of the "new" rooms. I liked it very much. The bathroom has nice tile, new tub, toilet […] & fixtures, and the shower head is mounted high enough for a tall man like myself to be comfortable in the shower (some folks would be surprised how many hotels mount their shower heads at a height suitable only for a shorter person!). I wish the mattress had been firmer, but I sleep on an extra-firm mattress at home, and I realize that's not everyone's preference, so its not fair to ding them for that. The LG flat screen TV is nice, and its mounted on a swivel so you can see it from wherever you are in the room. The rooms aren't very large, but that's not important to me. My room had two queen beds, a comfy chair, a desk & chair, and a big console that had a dresser and a small fridge. I bet the king bed room feels bigger because there's more exposed floor area, if that's important to you. The hotel has a cocktails & hors d'oeuvres hour every evening in the dining room. Its free to guests, and I enjoyed it. They also have a hot breakfast in the morning which is also free. I was in Nashville on business, and I thought this was a very nice touch. Having a hot meal before going out to spend a long day at the client's offices was a treat! The only caveat about this hotel is that while the remodeling is going on you don't want to stay here while you're on vacation because the hammering, drilling and so forth get started around 8:00 or 8:30.
