The architectual details of this hotel in Nashville are spectacular. No other hotel in Nashville can compare to the elegance and beauty of this hotel. An early 1900's era, gorgeous charmer. The lobby, veranda, down stairs restaurants, bar and bathrooms are all meticulously beautiful. The vaulted ceilings, huge marble columns and archways, raised panel […] wood walls, were all part of the details of the 1920's decor. Viewing the painted ceilings, sculptures and stained glass in the lobby and veranda was like looking at Michelangelo's artwork, simply breath- taking. Our room was large; it had 10 foot ceilings and a view of the captial building. Our bed, pillows and linens were very comfortable. Originally we had a regular room with no view but they upgraded our family to a room with a view because it was my birthday. Our all-marble bathroom was large, elegant and beautiful. The doorman, the bag boy, the front desk and the concierge were very personable. They all payed special attention to my 6 year old daughter, which I appreciated.
