Northeast of downtown Nashville, the long-running iOpry/i radio show is broadcast from the Grand Ole Opry House. The show moved here in 1974 after a 31-year run at Ryman Auditorium. A country-music theme park operated adjacent to the Opry House until 1997. Now, Opry Mills shopping mall stands in its place. The Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center is also adjacent.see all hotels in Nashville
I know you get what you pay for, but I wasn't super impressed. Our room was right off the hotel lobby where the lackluster continental breakfast was served. So, after being out late in a fun town, we were awakened each morning by folks outside my door and even a dog barking in the hallway. Our toilet could barely flush toilet paper, which was also a […] problem. However, I would have to say the evening clerk was helpful, even if not particularly friendly, in arranging a shuttle to come take us downtown. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Damp, Dour and Disappointing"
The only redeeming quality of this hotel was its proximity to Opryland and several restaurants. When we checked in we asked for a second floor room because reviews we read stated the hotel seemed damp and had suffered flood damage. The person who checked us in was very abrupt . told us the hotel had not had any flood damageand stated all rooms were […] assigned and couldn't be changed. When we got to the room it smelled damp and musty, it was dark and we found the carpet in front of the sink was wet . The wall paper in the toilet area was showing water damage and peeling. There were numerous signs of water damage throughout the room. The continental breakfast was one of the worst we have ever had and we only ate it the first day of a 3 day stay. The staff were friendly as long as nothing was asked of them, but any requests or complaints were met with a gruff and often unhelpful reply. We will never stay at this hotel again. "Good For The Price - New Owners"
The hotel was going through a transition of owners which was why the upkeep was horrible. Had to turn the bed frames upside down in our rooms because the box springs were old and worn. The bed was like a bowl when the box spring was set correctly. Hotel had a very odd smell even though we were on a non smoke level and room. Pool is in a bad location. […] Hotel itself was in a good location, next to a mall and enough food and entertainment place around though i didn't check any of them out since i was primarily in nashville most of the trip. Staff was friendly except for a room service attendant at the breakfast bar, who didn't seem to like anyone. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Would not stay here again!"
Hotel has a moisture problem on the first floor. Everything seemed to be damp in the room. Our second day there our room was not made up. Paid for a King and got two doubles. Not happy with this hotel at all!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
As I read Saturday afternoon (Room 313) a brown recluse spider crawled from the bed spread to my pillow. I have recently renovated a 100 year old farm house and my pest control identified them for me. It was not a pleasant thought wondering if there were more in the room I was moved to (Room 315).Genuine Expedia guest review
We are not picky, have never done a review. However we did have some issues worthy to note. We checked in for 3 nights, card keys worked ok 1st day. Next day we were out all day, came in late to find card keys no longer worked. Lobby was locked but someone was still there to let us in. Both cards had to be "re-keyed", seems they were inactivated as […] if we were staying only 1 night. Could have been a disaster if someone wasn't there to help. Shower fixture broken, no hot water, made for an awful shower. Instead of fixing it, they moved us to new room. There was a cheeto on the floor, more concerning-the carpet was wet on entire far wall near ac. Apparently it was leaking a lot. No musty smell,so perhaps a new issue. The shower had hot water, everything else fine. Breakfast is continental and put away around 9:30, which I feel is early. They do have good muffins and bagels. The front desk staff were accommodating. We don't usually stay at really nice hotels because it's a place to sleep, we prefer to spend less on hotel and more on outings. If you want low price, it's not terrible, it's just ok. You will have to deal with some issues more than likely. If you like a nicer hotel, do not stay here! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Okay for a night."
The hotel staff were always very pleasant and cheerful. The room left a lot to be desired. There was mold growing on the bathroom ceiling, and a large damp circle in the carpet near the heating & cooling unit. When I turned the heater on one evening after a torrential downpour left me soaked, I immediately set off the smoke detector. Interestingly enough, […] no one came to check on what was happening and I did get it to stop. The bed was uncomfortable. The pool looked nice, but was only open when I wasn't available. We were given a room at first that someone was already staying in. So we went to the front desk and got another room. The second room that we were given looked as though a worker of the hotel took a nap on the bed. It was clean, but on one of the beds you could tell someone had laid on the pillow and that side of the bed, the remote was laying on the […] bed, and a master room key on a lanyard was on the bed along with a fuse looking thing. I quickly took that stuff down to the front desk and she gave me new pillow cases to change out on the bed that looked as though someone had taken a nap on. It was a very interesting night. "Basic budget hotel for your Nashville Experience"
The hotel needs refurbishing. Our wall paper was falling down at the ceiling and was repaired by attaching a board to keep it secured. Every time I turned on the light in the bathroom, I had to use the reset button in order to use the hair dryer. The mattress was hard and I had to use a gel foam pad in order to sleep without hurting. There were stains […] on the mattress, tears in the carpet, and holes in the bedspread. A sound machine was needed in order to mask the loud speaker of the go-cart announcer next door that continued until 10 pm during the week and midnight on weekends. It was a place to lay your head and shower. Very friendly staff. May not choose this location in the future.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Okay lodging. Reasonably acceptable appearance exterior. Interior could use some TLC. Took several minutes for lady at check-in to locate room key. When arrived at room, door was slightly ajar. Hesitated, then carefully pushed open. TV was on, beds not made, dirty towels on floor inside door. Quietly closed door as feared registered guest might be in […] room out of sight. Back to front desk. Explained and received keys to another room. Tried first key card and would not work. Thought "Oh no.". However second keycard did work. Morning quick breakfast area is very small and crowded. So crowded on first morning only got a cup of coffee and juice to take back to room. Second morning was on Saturday and not so crowded. However, only one side of the one toaster available worked. No big problems, just seemed one little thing after another. First room I have stayed in for several years with no fridge in room. Have not rechecked, so hotel description may have said fridge available upon request. Usually am very hesitant to be anywhere negative in reviews, however this facility is on I will not stay in again. Sorry. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Bad reflection on Days Inn Inc."
The good news is the housekeeper did a good job in our room. The bad news is the front lobby chairs were absolutely filthy - the arms on the chairs were black from dirt. The two morning workers spent more time outside smoking than anything else. There were no brochures in the lobby; staff did not tell us about any of the transportation, events or information […] about Nashville. When I asked about the use of a public computer, we were told to go to the Comfort Inn. The room rates were very reasonable, but you get what you pay for. Would not stay there again. This is a bad reflection on Days Inn. We may be very reluctant to stay at another Days Inn. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Dirty Bed and Poor Service"
Upon turning down one of the beds in the room we realized the sheets had not been changed. We called the front desk where we reached Rus, and he asked just exactly what we wanted him to do? We told him we wanted our sheets changed. After about 30 minutes we still had no response, when I called the office again, I was told I could come and get some sheets, […] and he gave me 2 fitted King size sheets for a Queen bed, but he was the only employee at the hotel and we would have to take care of the sheets ourselves. When I got the sheets he told me, all the hotels in downtown Nashville were $500 a night and booked. Which had nothing to do with our room or his poor service. We told the manager the next morning, and she apologized, but that was the extent of it. I would never stay there again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"One of the worst I've ever seen"
We travel a lot and stay at a variety of hotels. This is without a doubt one of the worst I've ever seen. The only thing worst than the hotel rooms is the staff. The front desk "help" should be called the "NO HELP". We ended up having to stay and extra night and they gouged us for $90 when the rate on their site showed $61. The breakfast is awful, the […] towels are dirty (stained) and thread bare. The carpet has holes. The bed is okay, but the walls are so thin, the people next door woke us up at 6 am as they left, talking loudly in the halls and slamming doors. Perhaps not the hotels fault, but it certainly added to the very bad experience. We have permanently removed Days Inn from our list and will NEVER stay at another. Spend a tad bit more and stay somewhere else. Just dingy overall. Walls in room were covered with lint fuzz balls and dust webs were hanging from ceiling. "Dated, unhelpful staff, and wet carpet"
Our room faced the freeway, but we actually couldn't hear it at all. The problem we had was the lighting. Only the bathroom lights and one of the lights above the bed actually worked. We called for a replacement or maintenance, but it never happened. The condition of the hotel is okay. It is clearly dated and has not been renovated for some time. Our […] bathroom was teeny-tiny, so be ready for that. Also, the condition of the bathroom was kinda not nice. The carpet outside of the bathroom was soaking wet, and we hadn't even showered or washed our hands yet. It bothered me that I was standing in someone else's wetness. Finally, the hallways were HOT, and they had dehumidifiers going the whole time. Maybe that's why our carpet was wet? Anyways, we didn't spend too much time in the room, so I guess it was fine. The the hotel was conveniently located in the heart of Nashville, however the conditions of the hotels was horrible. The bed had a completely nasty stain, closet was open for everyone to view.
